Warm welcoming staff

Great staff! Beautiful rooms, great club. A truly wonderful stay in a great hotel (with comfy beds) in a beautiful city! The restaurant is a bit pricy and the toilet had to be flushed a couple of times to do it’s job. But otherwise a really great stay in a gorgeous city.

We stayed 6 nights while visiting SF. The location is good, not great. You find homeless individuals sleeping outside the hotel and human waste in the general area. A few blocks over the scene is worse. Our room was on the 9th floor and street noise woke us every night. Not the usual street noise of a large city. Nonsensical yelling & gibberish, and random loud sounds and music. While trying to work in room mid day I had to complain about extremely loud music from the next room (it was vibrating the furniture!), twice to no avail. The entire floor smelled of weed every day. At least it was a decent strain. The rooms are large with a small kitchenette which was convenient. The building appears to need repairs and updates but the decor tries to make up for the wear & tear. The rooftop area is a quiet space with free coffee but the terrace lacks views and was usually occupied by a loud party. I did not check out the gym, jacuzzi or sauna but they sounded nice. The staff was nice in an unbothered way. Probably the least friendly service staff we encountered while in the city. Not having housekeeping everyday for basic needs like clean towels, soap and toilet paper is a 3 star hotel. Having to request toilet paper seems pedestrian to me. Color me spoiled. We did eat dinner in one evening from the restaurant. Service was quick, professional and the food was delicious. All in it was a place to lay our heads at night with free coffee in the morning (restaurants in the area don’t open until 8am). Just be prepared to request daily refills and towels, to side step humans sleeping right outside the hotel and not to sleep peacefully (presumably because of said humans). Oh, and enjoy your contact high.

Great location, and a lot plusher than I was expecting, staff were friendly & attentive. Rooms were a good size, comfortable & clean. There were tea & coffee making facilities in the room, and also on the top floor. I was sceptical about our stay in San Francisco, due to the number of homeless, but was glad we chose to stay at this hotel. Also very competitively priced.

Good location & Service

Stayed in 2 adjacent rooms as a family of 5. Hotel has no restaurant but surrounded by lots of options. Close to Powell Street Station (direct line to SF airport on Bart). Short walk to Chinatown & Street Car ride to Pier 39. Hotel itself is fine - rooms as one would expect & staff helpful.

The service is 5 star, the hotel needs to updated.....

The concierge and bellmen here are absolutely wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The front desk staff was also lovely, we just didn't have as much interaction with them. The upholstery in the room was definitely in need of replacing as were the linens. We were also disappointed that we could not get our room cleaned after 2 days. They only clean your room every 4th day and we only stayed 4 nights. We did request and receive additional towels and they did offer to pick up the trash. The location is great. I would probably not stay here again unless they had updated the hotel.
