Staff YELLED and pointed his finger at me to GET OUT!

Reviewed 23 march, 2023

I visited the Fairmont hotel for years and had the most wonderful experiences. When the Hilton Signia took over the Fairmont, I wanted to give them a chance. Today, I placed a lunch order from their restaurant. As I was waiting, I decided to walk upstairs at the Hilton Signia since no events were going on. After just a few minutes, the staff member in the picture here kept YELLING at me to get out and pointed his finger at me. I was shocked. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life! I was starting to become afraid of his loud and crazy behavior, so I left. I have been visiting the Hilton Signia restaurants and bar over the last year. All the staff and front door bellmen have been wonderful EXCEPT this staff member. Please fire this man. He does NOT represent the Hilton Signia hotel values: "We're passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences". I am willing to give the hotel one more chance if they get rid of this guy and apologize for his bad behavior.

A Great Stay

Reviewed 22 march, 2023

I initially selected this Hilton for its location. It’s less than a 10 minute walk ti SJSU and central to everything downtown. The staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly and welcoming. Good size room Ins and super clean. The best lobby I’ve visited. The different seating areas and music including live performances was unique.

Comfortable BUT Hilton we’ve had enough of the $15 food and beverage credit.

Overall our experience was fine. The staff were very nice. It’s disappointing as a Diamond member that Hilton has chosen to remove one of the main benefits of achieving Diamond status i.e. free Continental breakfast. Giving a measly $15 F&B per guest is insufficient. I’d rather have the breakfast OR choose the credit now that would be a convenience to their loyal customers.

Nothing Special about it

Reviewed 19 february, 2023

Nothing special. Recently remodeled with dark colors and spartan interiors. It's a blah look, but I'm sure others will consider it hip and cool. And like Abercrombe and Fitch, they spray everywhere with a custom fragrance. Cough! Asked for a high floor, quiet room. Got a low floor, noisy room with a blocked view. Sometimes you win the hotel room lotto and sometimes you don't... Bar across the street was blaring music until 1:30 in the morning. Fortunately (or unfortunately) the room heater made a lot of noise to help block the music. There is no self parking, so you're stuck with expensive valet parking. Used to stay here when it was the Fairmont, and enjoyed it then, not so much anymore as a Hilton.
