All Good But Food

I love this place for the location to dive sites. Our 3rd trip for this group and sadly the food quality has deteriorated. I'm not really a picky eater, but this time even I find it difficult to find something that i really enjoyed. The pasta bar has disappeared, and that was usually the go to if nothing was appealing on the buffet. However, the 3 specialty restaurants, the food was actually better than before. Go figure. Maid service was lacking in our room. We would ask for the two beers we usually get almost every time but only got them 3 out of 7 days. This was even after asking directly, and we do leave a very nice tip all the time too. Rooms are looking a little worn, perhaps some fresh paint to spruce it up, but still clean with comfy beds and pillows. Dressel Divers, onsite, still offers great value, and man were they busy.

The staff here are phenomenal and we loved the entertainment team. Alejandra, Daniella, Harlett, Giovanni at the pool bar, Angelo, Rosa, Amy, and Edgar were great and we had a ton of fun. The food was fantastic at every meal and our rooms were always clean. We only have good things to say about our stay here.
Great Place to go with Family!!

My husband and I just returned from a week at Iberostar Resort in Cozumel. We were there with 3 of our Grandchildren ( ages 11, 15 and 17) and their parents. First and foremost we felt it was very clean and they are Covid compliant, in that masks are required in all buildings outside of your room. Social distancing is stressed at the buffet. As for the resort one can be as busy with activities as they want or veg out completely there. There is water aerobics every weekday. Other activities include volleyball, archery, water volleyball etc,,. All 3 of grandchildren ( 2 who are certified) and their father went scuba diving and thought the dive masters were very helpful, knowledgeable and nice. The staff is very friendly and try to make your stay as pleasant as possible, The food is good. There is a nice variety for all . The only thing they do not provide is Gluten Free Bread. I brought my own rolls and crackers. The only downside were the alcohol drinks. If you want a Mojito or mixed sweet drink they are beyond weak ( especially at the pool bar) we asked for a shot of tequila , or rum on the side, We would definitely go back.
Entertainment team is the best all around

This was our second year visiting Iberostar Cozumel We would not have expected staff to remember us by name after just seeing them once before last November When we arrived Angelo came right up and said hello and called us all by our names! Very impressive. You can tell he truly enjoys his job and genuinely cares for the guests as family. Amarantha (Amy) is also amazing as well as Daniela for it being her first week. All of the team did a great job with the different games throughout the day and the shows were so well done! Milan was an excellent fitness instructor. Highly recommend beach Zumba and yoga. Isidro the beach bar tender was so skilled at mixing drinks and very friendly. Our family will be back again to this resort and this group of people is the main reason why. Food was great drinks amazing clean and fun for all of us. Thank you for another great family vacation.
Another great vacation

This was our second time staying at the resort and we loved it again! Quite a few covid precautions are in place (sanitizer everywhere, masks required at the buffets), and this was good to see. Otherwise, most of the common areas are outside, so we were not worried. Our kids (ages 7 & 5) LOVE Star Camp! We were SO happy to see Rosa again, she's amazing with kids of all ages and will keep them entertained for a whole day, while you relax! The hotel territory is wonderful - so many creatures to see. Everything is kept in great shape. And it's great that you can snorkel right off the dock - perfect for kids. We did a few dives as well with Dressel. They will let you test out your dive equipment (whether yours or what you're renting) in the pool for free, which was awesome. Our divemaster was Xavi and he was amazing!!! The only downside of the stay was the room... but we were hardly ever there, so it wasn't a huge deal. The first night our whole floor was wet and very slippery, that was dangerous. I think there was an issue with the AC unit, but it was fixed as soon as we reported it and issue didn't come back. And the beds could sure use some new (non-squeaky) mattresses and new pillows. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay and will be back!
