Last minute trip and this is the hotel we booked and it was so cute so clean and the staff was so friendly. Fresh coffee and pastries at our door in the morning. Thank you Greg and Bruce !!!! Also bed is ridiculously comfortable with

I have reviewed San Luis Creek Lodge as a solo traveler; this time I was back with partner and our two senior dogs. "SLCL" has become the "go to" stop for everyone in our family when driving between SF and LA. Sure, you could bomb up or down I-5 in one day, but if you have the time, why not give yourself a mini-vacation in SLO at the SLCL? The staff, the decor, the music playing when you step into your room, the fireplace - you can feel your tension level fall. And the bedding is heavenly! This is the first time we stayed with dogs and found it a perfect location (no room rugs=no worries over "accidents"), sidewalks for short walks in the area, and a short drive to beautiful downtown SLO for longer walks and great restaurants. SLCL will be seeing us again!

Great hotel

Booked a last minute stay here on way from Los Angeles to Big Sur, and was really glad we did. The hotel is fantastic with friendly staff. Breakfast of coffee and scones included with stay was delicious. It was great not to have to worry about getting breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Location is very convenient to downtown SLO.

We visited San Luis Creek Lodge for a little pre-wedding break and we certainly had that staying here! Greg was so helpful, he upgraded us and was keen to show us the best places to eat and visit in the area. The hotel is just beautiful and it really is a home away from home. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Stylish, large room with the best shower of our whole trip- great pressure, huge, and we loved the Aesop body wash, shampoo, conditioner and body cream. Quiet and with free use bikes which we very much appreciated! Only a few cons- for the price, the same (super sweet) scone in a bag daily for breakfast wasn't ideal three mornings in a row, and we'd have loved more than three tea bags. The bedroom floors were a little dirty (white socks) though the rest of the place was immaculate. Apart from this, staff were lovely, the room was gorgeous and having parking was a real bonus.
