Habitaciones
Te sentirás como en tu propia casa en cualquiera de las 40 habitaciones con aire acondicionado y minibar. Las camas cuentan con colchones con una capa de acolchado adicional para descansar plácidamente. Las habitaciones disponen de balcón. En tus ratos libres tendrás un televisor con canales por cable para entretenerte. El baño privado con ducha está provisto de cabezal de ducha tipo lluvia y bidés.
Para comer
Come algo en El Dorado, restaurante con un bar o lounge, o simplemente llama al servicio de habitaciones con horario limitado. Qué mejor forma de acabar el día que con una bebida en el bar junto a la piscina. Se ofrece un desayuno continental de pago.

Outdated hotel with good view and location
For people who come solely with the purpose of scuba diving this is probably the ideal hotel. The rooms are old and look like they've been this way for the last 50 years. There's a unit and a fan. The room wasn't particularly cold. The main thing that bothered me was that there was no safe in the room, I didn't feel comfortable leaving my stuff behind and had a feeling I'd come back to find my valuables stolen. ^part of this feeling probably came with the fact that the hotel staff didn't speak English properly. The staff was friendly and helpful. Look at the pictures and reviews before booking this place.
A private room in a hostel
Barracuda gives me mixed feelings. Firstly, the bar downstairs (called No Name Bar) is great. The pool is one of the best situated on the island in terms of proximity to the sea & diving. It's very social with many who are not part of the hotel going there to drink. The hotel itself is bare bones. The showers reminded me of backwater backpackers I used to stay in 15 years ago, the TV and cable didn't work. the air conditioning was so loud, and the wifi didn't work (and they made no efforts to fix it). The fridge also didn't work and the backdoor to the balcony was falling apart. All in all, as someone in my 30s who's been in hostels, backpacked, I still felt this place was a bit lacking. It's not like "terrible" but it's also not a comfortable place to relax. And the staff are blase about it. If you're a kid on a budget and don't want a private room in a hostel like place, this will be a good shout for you. If you're with your gf or wife looking for a relaxing stay and a small bit of luxury, look elsewhere.
Basic but recommended
The Hotel Barracuda is a basic hotel. Room had two beds, a private bathroom, a small refrigerator, and beautiful view with a useable balcony. There is no elevator. The location cannot be beat. Close to downtown and ocean view from the rooms and pool area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If I could add one thing it would have been a coffee pot in the room but Starbucks is a short walk and The Mega is right across the street. I would stay in this hotel again. bare bones
I have been to the barracuda hotel many times in the past years, for a person on a budget , it don't get any better, cheap, your back balcony view of the ocean, front of the hotel is a Walmart type store, get anything you need from car tires to freshly made ceviche, there is a gym around the block to workout and for me also the paradise dive shop picks you up in the back for the next scuba diving excursion, sure there is no phone in the rooms/ or wakeup calls but who cares your on vacation, 10 minute walk to the center of town where you can go to hear live music all day long, the city is safe will go back, can not say the same for other parts of mexico
Felt like spring break
Before booking a night here we decided to check it out first by having a drink at the pool bar. So glad as we didn't book!!! The place wasn't very clean, the tiny pool was full of old people (60+ year olds) acting like it was spring break. I Would not go back with or without kid
