Andy and Christian are the best servers I’ve had. They made my first nights experience unforgettable. They’re polite, attentive and greatly appreciated. I loved them and will be back again because of them.

Wonderful family trip!

Reviewed 1 december, 2021

We spent Thanksgiving week at Hotel Cozumel and all had a great time. We stayed in a room with a king bed and twin bunks for the kids (ages 12 and 9). The entire hotel was clean and in good condition. The kids loved the pool and the beach areas. We spent most of our time at the beach area. There’s no sandy beach leading directly into the waters rather there’s a beach area built up on the shore, then you take a concrete ramp or ladder to get into the water. There’s an area off the ladder into the water that is relatively protected and shallow but with a surprising number and variety of fish. You can swim from there into the deeper ocean over a concrete wall that’s about 1-2 feet shorter than the ocean’s surface. There are some buoys marking the areas

A relaxing, restful much needed break!

Reviewed 1 december, 2021

My wife and I have been quite stressed as most folks have been the last few years. This last minute break was just what was needed at the end of November. This hotel was just right for us. Quite Mexican, no private fridge in our room, no coffee maker either. Fantastic customer service provided by caring and hard working staff. We would like to commend Selmi and Silvia the happy duo servers in our breakfast restaurant with the beautiful view, Luisa and Alejandra, meseras excellente by the pool, all the activation staff including Dulce and Hanya, so many drink specialists Daniel, Gustavo and Irvin, also Andy in the dining room for his personal attention. Emire deserves special mention for her valuable customer attention making reservations and our testing appointments. .never lacking a SMILE .. come to think of it " This staff plus all those whose names we have not mentioned deserve a BIG thank you from Canada. We'll be back!

Amazing Service, Pool and Access to Scuba Diving

Reviewed 29 november, 2021

From the minute we arrived at Cozumel Hotel & Resort, just a short ride from the airport, the service was exceptional. Everyone who works at the hotel is incredibly friendly and there to help you with any needs. We especially enjoyed getting to know Keira Valdez, one of the pool area servers. Keira took the time to learn our names, ask about where we are from and what we were doing on our trip, would ask about our day upon returning from our dive trips or whatever else we had done that day, and is one of the most positive and happy people we've ever met. She's a fantastic representative of Cozumel Hotel & Resort and Wyndham. The hotel overall is kept pristinely clean and the huge pool and hot tub were perfect for afternoon and early evening lounging. Our double bed room was cleaned every day and was just right for my son and me. The open air beachside dining room, accessible by tunnel beneath the road that separates the hotel from the water, was our favorite dining spot, although the dining room off the main lobby was nice as well. The hotel is quiet and just a short walk from downtown. We'll definitely stay at Cozumel Hotel & Resort when we return to Cozumel.

As a dive destination and resort it didn't meet my expectations

Reviewed 27 november, 2021

I chose Hotel Cozumel and Dive Paridise mainly from PADI Travel reviews (1st trip to Cozumel). I wanted to dive, eat and have a place to stay without the hastle of finding meals everyday while getting as many dives as I could. Hotel Cozumel's staff was awesome , while the Hotel is past it's peak the staff keeps it clean and are friendly. Unfortunately the dining is split between 2 restaurants and even though it's listed as Buffet style, 2 nights we had to order off a menu and the limited menu and Long wait reflected badly on the Hotel. Dive Paridise was highly rated but I didn't see anything from the staff or shop that was more than average. From the start they could'nt get me an orientation dive (in the package) and weren't honest about availability of Tanks and weights (I have my own gear so I was forced to hire a Divemaster for my 1st two dives). Waste of time and money since I got zero direction from the pro.I was also stuck on "slow boats" with the dive package I had ( I didn't know you had to paid for an upgrade for ther "fast boats"). While the larger Slow boats were comfortable they added 1-1 1/2 hrs to the 2 tank AM dives (and add the fact that we usually 1/2 hour late getting started in the morning didn't help things). I will look elsewhere next trip.
