Stayed 3 nights after spending the previous 2 nights in Chiang Mai city. The resort is about half an hour drive out in the countryside and it was a pleasure to stay there after being in the city. We booked a Grab car to take us out which cost 329 baht. There are 8 rooms set either side of a beautiful pool, each room has its own separate outside space to sit. The room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, spotlessly clean with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice from a menu and we had dinner there every evening, the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. All the staff were very friendly and Nok and Yannick were always checking that everything was ok with our stay. They have cycles you can borrow free of charge. Nok kindly drove us back to the bus station when we left. Highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Chiang Mai.
A Quiet Paradise

We chose Nok because of its wonderful reviews and discovered that the hotel definitely lives up to the hype. The hotel is managed by Nok (Thái) and Yannick (French) who will frequently go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. The location is 30-45 minutes away from the downtown area but that didn’t end up being much of a problem for us. We got a ride into town once from another couple staying there who happened to have a car, and on other days Nok or Yannick drove us into town for a small fee (cheaper than taxi/Grab). I don’t think we ever ordered a taxi to town, but coming back after a night out we did. The location also makes for a serene experience out in the countryside. They have free bike rentals and motorbike rentals for 100 baht per hour. We rented motorbikes on two separate days, and Yannick was even kind enough to teach me how to operate one. It’s not recommended to ride motorbikes without a license or prior experience, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. If you’re looking for a peaceful, personalized Chiang Mai experience out in the countryside then this place is for you. Bonus experience if you can speak Thái or French. We are only an English speaking couple and had a little struggle communicating with everyone, but we did meet other English speaking patrons who were able to help us out.

Would you like to enjoy yourself at a very beautiful and well-managed resort in the quiet countryside of Chiangmai? I found this resort by chance and decided to give it a try. Cheerfully greeted by our host, Nok, at the airport and driven out of the city to her resort (approx. 40 minutes), her staff were obviously prepared and anticipating our arrival. Once inside, I found a meticulously furnished and spacious room, spotlessly cleaned and thoughtfully supplied with coffee/tea service, fresh towels and linens, toiletries, robes and slippers. And, I'd bet if you didn't find what you needed they'd get it for you. After a long flight suffering the airports, coming here was heaven. The pool and grounds are beautiful. Enjoy a cold beer or mixed drink and listen the sounds of the water falling over rocks in the klong (creek) out back. The breakfasts are nicely prepared and the coffee is hot. Lunch and dinner menus are nice and include Thai food selections as well. Bicycles are here to use - motorbikes to rent if you want to go explore the countryside. There are many resorts in Chiangmai but if you are looking for a smaller (8 suites) boutique-type resort with personal touches with wonderful hosts and attentive staff, then try the Nok Resort. You won't be disappointed.

There are not enough words to describe our wonderful stay at Nok Resort having been lucky to visit wonderful hotels around the world we find Nok resort one the best from my long journey around the world,we had the pleasure of spending 6 wonderful nights, Yannik and Nok were outstanding, always courtesy and prompt to helping you any way we asked. The staff Pui and Iuan were unfailingly accommodating and attentive, seeing to everything from helping us to book tours and providing suggestions for places to see, to arranging our daily complimentary breakfast (which we enjoyed on our private verandah). All in all, this was a perfect stay and such great fun for the whole family. We will definitely make it an aim to find ourselves back there soon!. We won't be looking to any other place to stay and if we'll find ourselves return back in Chiang Mai! we are sure we'll return back to visit Nok resort.
Out of town piece of paradise

We felt at home, and happy, from the moment we arrived until we left. The owners and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Lovely room and a beautiful pool. It is a 20 minute drive from the town but well worth the effort. When you get to the resort it is in a lovely location with beautiful country views Our evening meal (I ate European and my wife ate Thai) was superb; as good as any meal I have had in Thailand. I was also pleasantly surprised with the bill as we had starters, main courses and drinks and it was not expensive. Similarly at breakfast I ate European and my wife ate Thai and we were both very happy with what we got Highly recommended and we will be coming back soon and often
