Most pathetic customer service. Wouldn’t cancel the second day of stay because it was “against policy” only after I was told this wouldn’t be a problem. They could provide no documentation that this was the case. Only that it was a policy “by the owners” who couldn’t be reached. No solution was offered other than “too bad I’m not willing to help. I just do what I’m told”. Ownership couldn’t be reached. Management had no point of contact, no business card and no name tag. He even stated “look, we’re a budget hotel. We don’t have that stuff” I followed up with Choice Hotels. They spoke on my behalf regarding this emergency situation. The hotel was still not accommodating. Choice said it was an owner and management discretionary decision. They opted to not be helpful in any way. The room was satisfactory for what it was. The 2nd shift was pleasant and helpful. But once this location has your money all bets are off. They do not have any regulatory standards and do not help their clientele in any meaningful way. Customers beware.

Not the best hotel we’ve been to, but close to the worst one. You get what you pay for and that pretty much sums up this place, Don’t expect any extras , management sucks. Called two days after stay cause bank account didn’t seem right, I know a lot of place put a $100-$200 hold on cards in case of damage or incidents, front desk clerk didn’t know if they do that said manager would call me back in 5 minutes, 6 hours later still no call.

We are from Michigan. We were so excited about our trip to Cedar Point, we haven't been in so long but always loved it as kids. So I was so excited to take my son this year and booked it through booking.com. Sadly most of Michigan lost power for the week and are still without power. Our basement flooded the day before our trip and we were unable to make it due to clean up and making sure the generator was running. I called Rodeway Inn North thinking they would understand the severity of the situation (over 600,000 were without power in Michigan and still are).... but NO! I was charged the full rate even after explaining my situation. When I asked to speak to a supervisor he told me he was the "supervisor" and told me I had to go through booking.com to get my refund because he did not have control over the refund... So I talked to booking.com and they tell me it is COMPLETELY up to the property to get a refund... but they told me I could file a "waiver of fees" but it could take up to 48 hours, which was fine so I did it. I didn't hear anything back all day and then my phone rings at 12:26am (really? who calls in the middle of the night?) and it's the "supervisor" from Rodeway Inn calling to see why I didn't "check in"? I told him I put in a waiver to cancel fees and he replied, I know, I am the one who spoke with you yesterday, I responded I still have no power and he said all he could do was knock one night off and I said okay well thank you and hung up but the more I thought about the more frustrated i got because my other family members who were staying at the campground at Cedar Point had to cancel as well and Cedar Point gave them a FULL refund due to "a state of emergency". So I called back and said l wanted to speak with an owner because it was the same "supervisor" who answered. He told me he was the owner at first and then very quickly changed his story and said he was the "highest up position I was going to speak with"... He then when on to explain that the owner was never there and lived in Massachusetts. I asked if the owner had a phone number and I was told no. The "supervisor" then got angry with me and told me he is not giving me ANY refund and I will be charged the full amount. I looked 10 minutes later at my bank account and sure enough my card was charged the FULL amount $280.94 for two nights! What a deal.... Personally, I've never stayed there so I don't know how disgusting the hotel is but I will NEVER stay there or USE booking.com AGAIN! I hope no one gets screwed like I did

John the manager and the staff did excellent. Excellent value for the price, the bath room was small, they did do some updates in which it's very nice. They have an indoor heated pool, free coffee and juice at the motel lobby, free newspaper everyday, Saturday and Sunday combined.

Very nice clean motel. Bathrooms are small. Beds were very comfortable. Great value for the price. Upgrades have been done. Pool had been repainted recently but the paint is flaking off. Enjoyed sitting on the second floor common balcony watching the sunset. They have a few rooms in the building that the pool is in but most of the rooms are located across the parking lot from that building. We were glad we had lawn chairs with us.
