Hotel Florida

Stayed last summer and still think back fondly. The hotel is a 20min walk from the town centre, which is perfect, as it’s nice and peaceful to chill out after a long day. If you do want to go out in the evening, you can stay local if you prefer, with the choice of surrounding restaurants with great bay views. The rooms were spotless, with a giant shower. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They were always happy to book any excursions or transfers for us, and always on hand to help out around the poolside bar or breakfast buffet. The breakfast each morning was awesome, with pretty much anything you could possibly want. We finished each day by relaxing around the pool for a couple of hours, sipping a pina colada. Perfect way to unwind. We’d definitely go back and it represented great value.

Ive been to hotel Florida many times over the years .I know we are going through an awkward time world wide .Thats why im adding my new review to let people know about this amazing hotel that is about 15 minutes away from the main square -A lovely scenic walk looking over the bay of naples .this hotel offers warmth relaxation and a lovely family atmosphere with a never to busy to help family team running the show and creating lovely food on site.

Very familly friendly. The kids loved it, The prices are cheap and the stuff very friendly. Great start to our vocoation. There are many bars and restaurants close by and the pizza night is something to wait for

Stayed here for October half term with the family. We arranged a taxi transfer with the hotel, this cost €20 each person and is an hour's drive from Naples airport. The photos do not do the hotel justice as the rooms have been refurbished and are lovely and modern.Stayed in a room overlooking the pool. There is a safe and fridge, both free of charge. Rooms cleaned every day and are spotless. We stayed bed and breakfast. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. .. cereal, fruit, yogurt, croissants, doughnuts, toast, boiled eggs, fried eggs, fried veg, sausages, ham , cheese, rolls cakes, tea , coffee and juices. If you would like a packed lunch they will gladly pack a large ham and cheese panini roll, bottle of water, cake and an apple for €5. We are out 4 nights in the town and ate in the hotel restuarant 3 nights. All meals ordered were tasty and plenty of it. A main meal starting from €8. pint of beer €5 , bottle of Pinot €17 and soft drinks €2.50. Pool towels are available free of chsrge from the pool bar. The walk into Sorrento town centre from the hotel is about a 20-30 minutes.The train from Sorrento to Pompeii is €4.50 return. Local bus to Positano €2 each person. The local beach is just a ten minute walk. Great hotel, the only things that would make it even better would be tea and coffee in the room, (although you can take one back to the room from the bar ) and the beds are a bit too firm. There is one thing we were un aware of when we checked out and that was the room tax you have to pay which is €1.50 per person per day up to a max of 7 days.

Stayed for 5 nights. Lucky with weather. All staff fantastic and friendly. Prices in bar very fair to area at 5euros a pint. Food very good at poolside restaurant. Stayed in room with balcony overlooking pool and towards bar, very spacious with walkin shower. We booked direct with hotel so fridge and safe included. Taxi to and from hotel had to pay cash which needs remembering on last day. We missed the pizza night as was on a Wednesday that week shame as sounds as if always worth it. There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. The fun is also in finding the ones you like best. We found we ate at either the hotel or IL Rutino, as best value and quality. Garden bar on walk to or from Sorrento is worth a stop of for reasonable priced drinks. All in all we would recommend this hotel and unusually we are thinking of going back next year already. Family run little gem.
