We arrived at 430 am. There was a taxi waiting for us at the airport as I’d arranged (via Facebook messenger). Bit of confusion at check in as I’d paid for the room with points way in advance. Hotel clerk seemed confused as how to handle this but said we could fix in the morning and I needed to sleep. The issues was already fixed in the morning by management. The room had a nice bed, great air conditioning, hot water, and a mini bar and snacks. Only had the breakfast once and it wasn’t anything spectacular but was good. Great location! I found the staff very helpful. Lastly they hd a taxi ready for our 330 am trip to airport. Pool here is marginal- but you can use the pool at the other senses property
Good location but disappointing

The hotel is just off the main city-center plaza which is convenient. The rooms are clean. The front desk charged us at check-in like normal and then asked for a credit card later that same day, and the next. Not sure why. We did not have towels and had to ask for them - and we were told they didn't have any available. We got stuck in the elevator three times - luckily we could get the door to open with brute strength. There were leaks in the room and stains. There were many small items that kept happening and made our stay less than perfect.
Not a 5 but a 3 stars

The matter is very simple: this is not a 5 star hotel, but only 3. Rooms, cleaness, lobby, breakfast, all is at a level of a decent 3 stars. All people disappointed are because we read 5 stars in the hotel features, but it simply is not. If you are on a budget, book here. If you look for something luxury, cosy and nice, go somewhere else.

This is a lovely hotel right on the main square with a beautiful view of the church. The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped us find a private taxi to Samaipata and quickly responded if we needed anything. I was tired and forgot my phone in the breakfast restaurant and when I realized it and returned the staff member immediately knew why I was there and retrieved it and returned my phone. Very honest and safe and comfortable hotel. The breakfast was also wonderful and they made individual omelets too! The only suggestion I have is the beautiful restaurant outside facing the Plaza and church was understaffed. The staff was friendly but it took a long time to get waited on and served...having worked in restaurants myself it was clear this was not due to the staff but a problem with a lack of staff or people helping staff. The outdoor restaurant is so beautiful it would be nice to address this lack of staffing issue.
Untrained and very unhelpful reception staff

Spent 2 nights here and on the evening of the 2nd night spoke with reception staff and requested a large estate taxi/mini bus to take 4 passengers and 5 cases early the next morning to the airport. The next morning we came down to reception and asked several times where our ordered vehicle was, they reported that the woman who ordered our vehicle was new and did not know what she was doing (not very professional), and said that we woukd have to go outside and flag down 2 taxis instead. We said that we had ordered through the hotel reception but they said that they couldn't do anything about it and just said that we would have to get 2 taxis and pay both. We complained that the cost had now doubled which was unacceptable but they merely ignored us then pretended they could not understand us although we had a spanish speaking person with us. Pure lack of customer service at all levels. Management should be notified that the people at reception do not care, do not endeavour to resolve issues and have no regard for any customer. We spoke with other customers who also said they had issues with front of house staff. I would not recommend this place if you have any questions for front of house staff as you will not get any appropriate response.
