My partner and I had a lovely experience! The vaulted ceilings made the room feel really spacious. We had stayed here many years ago, and since then the rooms have been completely remodeled. We were really shocked by outstanding customer service. The front desk representatives were very friendly and helpful in suggesting local activities and restaurants. We were shocked to learn that we received a discount for being returning guests. Overall, this was an excellent stay and we will absolutely be returning.

I was in Santa Cruz for surfer's ear surgery with Dr Hetzler. His preop material mentioned that the Inn at Pasatiempo was close to his office and the surgery center. When I called to book the room, Barbara the manager helped me to arrange dependable and trustworthy transportation to and from the surgery center on the morning of the procedure. This is an important detail as the surgery center will not allow rideshare drivers to pick up discharged patients. I was fortunate to have been assigned a room with great natural light and breezes. Barbara, Alex, Lindsay and the restaurant staff were great. Lindsay recommended a good Thai restaurant and when I went to the on-premise restaurant the evening of my recovery they were clearly on the radar of locals in the area. The two craft beers on tap I tried were both delicious, as was the fresh calamari and a molten brownie cake to go. The Inn at Pasatiempo is very conveniently located to Santa Cruz while giving guests the feeling of being secluded next to the woods. It was a great spot for my my time in the area. Thanks to the staff for their kindness and gracious support.
Super Cute Hidden Within The Trees

I love small inns with beautiful outdoor spaces and would trade out today’s grand scale resorts for this any day. Nestled between the beautiful mountains just above the beach town of Santa Cruz which is only minutes away-this Inn is in a perfect location to see and do everything in NorCal. Rooms have been beautifully updated to a country house vibe with a terrific shower (only downfall-no drawers? Only hangers), a mini fridge and parking right outside your door so no long hauls to and from the car-meaning more time enjoying friends and family sipping a glass of wine outside your room in an Adirondack chair enjoying the fresh air. Had dinner there at the Grill and it was terrific!!!! The Inn is walking distance to one of the best and most challenging golf courses in the world and even if you’re not a golfer-it’s worth the walk to enjoy some breakfast. Coffee and local made coffee and scones available very morning and at 11 the bar inside is ready to serve up some really terrific bloody Mary’s with a smile and they’re there when you return for that perfect nite cap. I’d like to personally thank Barbara who after calling me a few days prior to our arrival to confirm all the details-took note that it was my Birthday and generously moved our travel companions closer to us to make it even more special!!!! Parking is complimentary so that’s a plus in this day and age and the pool is heated (though I prefer a bit more than 80 degrees-more like 87-90 LOL) This is the perfect inn for a wedding as the grounds were beautiful, saw they had an indoor banquet room close by and I can just imagine the entire family staying the weekend enjoying each other. Super cute-highly recommend for families and couples for leisure travel!

Coffee and pasties in the morning were wonderful. I would suggest some juice also for the non coffee drinkers. Other than that.....it was a wonderful stay. The restraunt is great. Pool was really nice.
Overpriced basic hotel room, but with a decent bar

I know it was Memorial Day weekend, but the room was way overpriced for what it was (basic). I did like the nice high ceilings -- that was the one thing that made it different from, say, a Holiday Inn. The place was generally clean except for a few black hairs on the bathroom wall. The hotel bar had good salads and great service. It's true that it's only a 10-15 min drive into downtown Santa Cruz, but I think next time I'd rather stay downtown. This is what we get for waiting till the last minute to book a place on a three day weekend.
