Waiter poured himself a glass of wine unknown by guest that ordered it. Drank it and took it to the kitchen.

We ate dinner there on 10/15/2021 and watched as another table ordered a bottle of wine to be opened. The waiter took the bottle to the side and poured himself half a poured glass and tasted it. Really, 1/2 what a normal pour would be. After he tasted it he poured their wine in decanter and took the glass he poured himself and wrapped the glass in a napkin and walked it back to the kitchen area. Wow, he took a lot of their wine. So we asked the table if they knew the waiter took part of their wine. They were clueless and upset. Long story short after telling the management the customer was blown off. The manager was making excuses for the employee like maybe he took it from another table. We watched what he did. Then she said the sommelier will taste the wines and that’s ok. This was the waiter and he had no right to take that much of their wine. Crazy that she was acting like we did not see what we all saw. And when told to go check her cameras she did not care. Warning for people not to let them pour your wine outside the table. Manager was ok that they were taking peoples wine without them knowing. I wrote this comment because of how they treated the customer that was complaining. This is not a class “a” place.
Elegant with great service

This very well run property has all the elements of a great hotel and achieves the goal of top hotel in Napa. It is charming with a well trained and sincerely nice staff. Our room was a suite that felt like a home and had every feature one would want. It is centrally located but still in a charming rural setting.
Hostess needs training.

Went with 5 for lunch today. Super rude hostess informed quite curtly “no walk ins” and was worse when we asked if we could sit at bar. Life is too short for rude people, so happy to enjoy other places in wine country. Took our business to other end of the spectrum (Gott’s) and at 1/4 the price it was great. Now on to more wine tasting!

We spent 5 glorious days at Auberge in Napa for our 10th anniversary and the trip was simply exquisite. The property itself is unbelievable beautiful - and extremely private. It was so quiet and even though they were full, and we met some lovely guests, we felt as if we were the only people staying there. The service is over the top - we felt so well cared for and truly hated to leave. We also ended up canceling some off-property meals because the food (Michelin star!) was beyond excellent. We are already looking at dates to schedule our next visit. HIGHLY recommend!

Breathtaking rooms and exceptional friendly service. Hellen was very hospitable! The complimentary wine section in the room was phenomenal. Especially enjoyed the serenity and peacefulness of the grounds and rooms. Steven the bellman was fantastic!
