We always attempt to stay with Fairmont. The service we receive, particularly from Fairmont Santa Monica and Maui Kea Lani, are always exceptional. The front desk manager, Gerrick, food and beverage director, Kristina, and all of the concierges were amazing. You hosted our family of 11 for four bungalow nights. They are looking forward to our week=long stay in February at the Kea Lani.

Great team and hospitality

When I arrived the room I received was not what I was expecting- nothing really wrong was a bit dark. I spoke with Alex at the desk And he went out of his way to find me a room that was perfect for my stay. It made my work trip a million times better specially being the first one in the USA in two years. Alex was not the only one… the drivers, the banquets team and restaurant staff where amazing and made me feel very welcome. Thank you for having such a wonderful team and working hard to make strangers stay the best possible

Love the setting of this hotel

I have stayed at the Miramar countless times now, in pretty much every type of room available. The hotel is always welcoming and common spaces make this one of my favorite hotels. The bar is fantastic as is Fernando the bartender - if you want a hotel that is in the heart of Santa Monica and walk to whatever you want this is a great place.

Breathtaking! We stayed three nights in one of the bungalows. This was my third trip to the Miramar and it wowed me just as much as before -- if not more. The hotel is extremely stylish but also comfortable and cozy. The room (and the entire hotel) was spotless and modern. Every single staff member we encountered was incredible: they were all kind, helpful, and attentive. Daniel (valet) gave us the history of the iconic fig tree gracing the front entrance and took several photos for us in front of it. The food was also fantastic! We ate at the attached Fig restaurant, which is beautiful and has a sophisticated menu. The new sushi bar was also a standout. I also discovered my new favorite wine during a late night room service order. Just perfect. Can't wait to go back.

Be a night club or a hotel but choose one.

Absolutely terrible. Thumping music and loud night club voices until 2 am every night. Couldn't sleep. This is so sub par the Fairmont experience that I'm shocked. Not only that it happened but that they were happy to take my money knowing FULL WELL that they have an extremely loud (and I mean beyond any sense of near normal) outdoor nightclub in the parking lot of the hotel!! And still they're happy to sell rooms that are only a few stories above it - like I'm supposed to just take it. Shame on them and upper management for this. I know times are tough and hotels need to make money so they rent out their prestigious beautiful entrance to loud night club owners, but at the same time they loose loyal customers like me from going to any other Fairmont in the world - and I've been to the best of them - because they've so abused my trust in the Fairmont brand. Either be a hotel or a night club, but they must choose - or find a solution ie not selling rooms directly above the night club - so they don't alienate more brand loyal guests. I know of 5 groups that evening that have forever sworn off the Fairmont brand. All this on my wife and my anniversary! Shame on them!
