Avoid this hotel at all costs!

I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs. My whole experience was poor from start to finish. Let me explain: First, my friend booked this place for a weekend getaway in the wine country but then wanted to cancel it due to Coronavirus situation. This was a time when everyone including airlines were being completely accommodating about cancellations and refunds, but the hotel would only refund one of the rooms and not both. Next, when I checked in to the hotel, I had a bad experience. Their parking lot was completely full and I had to park several blocks away and carry my suitcase. The reception staff was also quite unhelpful in general. When I asked them about tasting rooms and restaurants, their only recommendation was the "Spinster Sisters", which is owned by the hotel. And here is the worst part: They put a $300 charge on my credit card without notifying me whatsoever because I accidentally spilled something on the bed. Since the bed sheets are completely white, it stands to reason that a little bleach would take care of cleaning the bed sheets. I had several phone calls and exchanged emails with the hotel manager, and she finally admitted that the cost of completely replacing the bed sheets was $85. However, she still refused to refund the $300 to my credit card and I am still disputing the charge with the credit company. Long story short: Avoid this place at all costs! You are much better off paying a little extra and staying somewhere more decent and ethical than this place.
Our new favorite place! So happy to have found The Astro!

Great small hotel near downtown Santa Rosa. We will stay here again as we fly out of Sonoma County airport frequently. The room was neat and tidy. Bar frig had some drinks to purchase and there were snacks in the room for purchase as well. Nothing too pricy, so a nice addition. We were unable to enjoy the breakfast as we left early. Next time we will stay an extra night ! Sam checked us in and was great and gave us tips on where to eat. We ended up eating at the Spinster Sisters - also owned but The Astro and it was fantastic!
Hipster - but for a fee

Loved the hotel. Really cool, modern and a 10 minute walk from the centre. Great for beer tourism. Lovely detached room with sofas, games, breakfast etc. Loved everything. Not the cheapest, but a great place, clean, comfy and a great sleep.
What a find!

We stayed at this motel on our way along the 101. What a find! This motel is NOTHING like the usual motel. All of the appointments are mid-century modern--almost like visiting a very comfortable museum. The rooms and appointments were artistically presented, with special attention to environmental considerations. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Like the stay, the continental breakfast was NOTHING like a usual paltry morning snack. There were fresh-baked quick breads, delicious granola and yogurt, as well as juice and good coffee. We will definitely seek this place out for a return visit.
Great last minute stop

The room was clean, the staff was nice. It’s probably one of my favorite hotels Ive ever stayed at! It was the first day they started serving breakfast so that was awesome!! The only thing I’d say is on hotels.com I’d make sure to put that their is a pet fee instead of it just saying pet friendly. I didn’t mind paying the fee, I just think it’d be nice to know before.
