Good place ... to relx before or after flight

In these panepidemic times I had a chance to remain for a while at “HolidayInn” at Santiago airport, Chile. Room was nice, cosy and give you nice relaxation during your waiting time. Well-arranged and equipped with all needed items for short stay – WiFi signal is quite good and strong too. Bed is good, soft and gives you good moments, but personally I believe that will be no perfect for all as we have it different understanding for good beds – but more me was more than Ok! TV at the room is with channels which are related to this part of the World and most probably will be not so good for the most customers, but as I said – WiFi signal is good and you may use internet as streaming platform. View from the room is not a stunning, but ... what to expect in this area ;) .... Restaurant on the ground floor is good and nice place to kill the time. Friendly and smiling personnel. Food by itself is well prepared and served, tasty and fresh. Deserts are … mmmmm Beer is chill and good …. Generally, there are no any negative points from my side – Standard is good!

Good hotel but not perfect.

I have stayed in this hotel several times in last 10 years but probably wrote my last review several years ago. This is my latest review based on my stay here in Feb’2021. Positives 1. Extremely friendly and pleasant front desk staff. I remember the front desk staff was awful here many years ago. However, it has improved a lot and the new girls monitoring the front desk are 100 times more pleasant than the previous staff. Maybe, COVID /crumbling tourist economy made them realize the importance of good customer service. Better late, than never. 2. The room continues to be adequate. Mostly noise free, clean, and comfortable. 3. The hotel has a restaurant opened throughout the day which was very helpful. The waiters were friendly and menu was decent. My favorite was “Grilled chicken breast with rice”. Highly recommended. 4. The hotel location is un-beatable. Perfect place to stay between flights. Negatives 1. The restaurant gave me stale fish in one of my dinners and I had a stomach ache the whole night! Please note, I had ALL my meals at this restaurant. 2. The internet is patchy. Be careful if you stay on floor “0” which is underground or “subsuelo”. This floor has no internet or 4G signal. Do not accept any room on this floor. Till you stop accepting rooms without internet, this hotel will not solve this problem. Strangely, the hotel has this problem with internet last 10 years and I am shocked at its laziness and in-ability to resolve it after so many years and so many gadgets available to take care of such issues. Senior manager reading this review “hey senior manager, please do some work to earn your salary. It’s high time you have proper internet throughout your hotel. We are in year 2021 and not in 1998 anymore”. 3. I had given this same review on holidayinn.com website but they did not publish this review, due to my comment about stale fish and internet. 4. The hotel asks exact check out time and flight details when checking out. I find that very shady. Do not divulge such details to anyone. Overall, I will continue to stay here as the location is convenient. If you do not care for this location, maybe you can find better options. Hope you find my review, helpful? Certainly worth considering

This airport hotel offers the most convenience to any traveler in Chile. Chile is a long country and several flights are available for connections through Santiago, making this hotel the preferred one for a layover between transit flights. Room was quiet, spacious & clean. Customer service could have been better for this particular stay. At the time of check in, I was assured by the front desk representative, of a receipt of a previous stay at this hotel being dropped of below my door step, which didn't happen. At the time of checkout, had to do an express one without a representative at the desk, due to early morning flight. Pricing was reasonable. Certainly worth considering for any traveler in Chile.

Spending two vs. one night after a long haul/

Flights from the U.S. are all red eyes as far as I can tell. They arrive in Santiago EARLY morning. So I pay for the night of say, Monday, when in fact I'm arriving early on Tuesday morning. I make sure the hotel knows that I will be a no show Monday night but with the reason why. We check in, shower, eat lightly, crash for 3 or 4 hours. Much better than hanging out in the lobby. Rooms at this hotel are quiet, clean and comfy. Staff is GREAT!

Stay over in Santiago

Due to covid problems we had to stay over in Santiago awaiting a flight to leave Chile. The staff was very accommodating given everything going on. We had to extend our stay because our flight was moved and then had to have a late check-out; again the staff was great.
