More about the hotel
Terrible expirience
When we first got there I had the impression that was an old hotel that had a great facility but needed some update, but I was only going to be there for a night so it wasn´t a big deal for me. But then I got to my room and the bathroom lack of maintenance, there were terrible stains in the shower. They left the previous guest´s used soap in the shower, no hot water. I wouldn´t stay there again, not even for a night. An absolut waste of money, because it wasn´t a cheap hotel either.
Horrible
This hotel is by way the worst in the world as a flight attendant this hotel robs you from quality. No hot water internet only in lobby. During a pandemic no cleanse of rooms or anything else not works in our room so scared of catching virus stay there I suggest bring your own cleaning items. I can say so much more just don’t stay here ever for vacations. They tried to give me another room but this room no AC at all
MY WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER
-I arrived at the hotel and 2 hours to do check in, not organization at all allowing big amount of people accumulate in the reception in this COVI19 times. -Then arrived into my room as you can see the pictures the douche just found it on the floor, my windows didn’t close properly so my personal belongings suffering a vulnerability of being stolen. -Sofa you could sit on it cause have a hole in the middle. -Service it’s horrible because when I reclaim about the situation of my room they just ignored me and didn’t care at all. Here I ulpoaded pictures to see the conditions of this hotel, I think it’s should be close and not offering to the people cause it’s an offense. It’s a deplorable conditions inhumanity. They said it’s a 4 star hotel but I don’t even give a 2 stars. Be away from this hotel, and be careful of this bad experience that can cost you money and really bad moments due that they don’t even care about clients service.
Please stay away!!please management, fix this place!! it is a gem, and it's completely ruined.
Hi, My name is Samantha and I decided to take a little vacation from the busy life here in the states. I booked a 4-day resort stay at the Be Live Hamaca. I ended up paying for a suite and was super excited about it!! I have been to this resort on my wedding honeymoon about 9 years ago and I loved it, this is why I chose to return. As we walked in the resort first thing I noticed was that there was no "greeting". We had to carry our own bags ( which is fine, but it was odd) next to the check-in was just terrible. While waiting I noticed that the furniture of the lobby was worn out, there was a soda machine and the soda was so warm and just didn't taste right. We were given a room and we had to find it ourselves. We eventually did and the air conditioner didn't work properly, the water was only hot ( scorching hot) the Tv wouldn't turn off. We tried calling the front desk, the phone didn't work. We walked and the lady in customer service seemed really upset at my complaint. I was still nice, kind of wanted to cry because I was just so sad about how things just started. They never sent anyone to fix anything. so imagine how we felt. No sleep at all. At around 3 am, I've had enough and walked back to the front desk, I met a sweet guy ( I will get his name) and he did the most to move us from the room, and he did. He was so different and was so willing to help. We got moved to a very nice room, closer to the front desk and closer to the beach. Everything worked except that the shower tub water doesn't go down right away. Piping needs fixing. It definitely becomes a cesspool. But hey, we are not in the Caribbean to be in a room right? so we didn't even complain and went about our business. We then went to eat breakfast, omg!!! it was terrible!! at the time they had the little league games happening so it was cool to see so many people from different countries and their baseball players...food is horrible guys!! even the cereal tastes terrible!!! what happened to this place?? we ended up NEVER dining in the resort, but eating at the Pelicano restaurant. You do get a 15% discount from them for staying at the resort....but imagine...breakfast, lunch, and dinner? We also walked out and ate at local spots. The hotel has become a horrible place to even sleep. Please management, if el pelicano is having an event, please advise your guests!!! They had an event with Yiyo sarante and it was so loud that we just ended up watching from our balcony. I enjoy that type of music, but I'm sure other guests would want to rest and relax while on vacation. You can actually feel the vibrations of the music in your room. Just be courteous! Management in Spain, please watch your management. The hotel manager is not doing anything!! I'm a property manager and hospitality has been my career from over 10 years, this place needs a bit of attention!! it needs help!! some employees are so rude..but I don't blame them....they get to work under terrible conditions. To conclude, if you want to spend a terrible time, go to this reosrt...it has changed so much!!! MANAGEMENT, PLEASE FIX THIS!! THIS IS THE ONLY RESORT IN BOCA CHICA THAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY LOVED AND TRUSTED...NO MORE!! train your workers, fix some stuff...your buffet restaurants need to be cleaned...food can cause you to get sick and that happened to one lady I met. I told her to go to management and complain. Only positive I took from this hotel?? sitting at the pelicano drinking a Presidente that I paid for and eating clean food... The sad part is that I spent about $150 daily on food after I paid for an all-inclusive resort that was a nightmare. please, parents, don't bring your kids here!!! don't go here until management changes. This manager in the hotel is horrible. If you need anything else from me...please let me know and I will produce all my receipts. This is a gem that needs polishing and someone with vision to take over. Stop deceiving people with all those beautiful pictures. It is a horrible feeling being overseas and not being able to feel comfortable in a place you spent a lot of money to be in. We spent over $1000 for 4 days, just for the stay. We spent a lot of money also dining out, morning, noon and evening.
The Be Live Hamaca in Santo Domingo is a dump
waited in line 2 hours to get a room....then they made us come back for our room key. another wait. Finally got a room and it was a true dump! After insisting on a different room we were offered a better room but had to sign a "no contest" agreement. The electric went off 3 times, water went off for a whole day and all the toilets were FULL. The food was boring and repetative. If ther employees spoke english they were in the hotel, if they did not they worked in the food area. They know nothing about food service OR cooking. DO NOT GO THERE!
