More about the hotel
4 day weekend in Paradise
We recently stayed here for the weekend and attended a wedding on a Monday evening. The hotel was clean and comfortable, we felt safe at all times. Social distancing and face masks were required which we loved. Our room was clean and cozy. We would also like to recognize Salina at the front desk, she was very friendly and helpful. The pool pump was in need of repair so we could not use it, but other than that we think you will find this hotel to be an excellent choice for your next stay in Sarasota.
2nd time here......pleased again.
Stayed for 2 nights. Pleased to see all employees wearing masks. Was permitted to check-in 1 hr. early, thank you Tabitha. Everything appeared clean & in order. Didn’t get to use pool or gym but they were available. Check out was quick and easy. Plenty of parking. Stayed here before, will stay again. Quiet and kind of out of the way but that’s exactly what I want, I will go to where I need to go, don’t want it on top of me. Usually brings noise, traffic and rushing. Only complaint: pillows on bed were bad, felt like they “deflate” once you lay your head on them and thus lack support desired. Otherwise all good!
EXCELLENT STAY
It is a cozy hotel, the facilities were well maintained and everything was clean. The room was great (Queen and Sofa bed), the queen bed is together with the bathroom and has a TV, the sofa bed is in the living room and has another TV available, they have a nice pool, and I consider it to be well located, the Staff was friendly, and we had no problems whatsoever. I really think it was great
A typical Residence Inn, rooms perhaps smaller than some
I greatly prefer Residence Inns in general, for Marriott hotels in its class. This Residence Inn is very like others I have been in. The one bedroom suite had all the usual furniture and fixtures, but...perhaps in a slightly smaller space than others--Residence Inns condensed. This seems to be a newer one. Residence Inns are always spotless, with extremely comfortable beds and all the amenities one needs. This one is no exception. The desk clerk gave us the best suite available when we checked in--a lovely courtesy. We also were given excellent guidance to a good local restaurant. The breakfast was also the usual--several choices, some fresh fruit, oatmeal with all the possible trimmings. It's very good for hotel fare. The attendant worked diligently to replace everything and to maintain the serving area.
Thanksgiving stay visiting family
I really like Residence Inns. Front staff was great and gave us a first floor handicapped room because of an elderly person traveling with us. We had a two bedroom two bath room with living room dinette with fireplace. Nice touch! The room was clean but there were numerous plumbing issues. Leaky faucets on tubs causing a flood the first night until we figured out how to block the water. One sink drain actually had a canvas cover over the leaking drain trap under the sink? Commodes did not flush properly. Seems the rooms were in need of general maintenance even though they looked new. Beds were very comfortable. Living room furniture soso. Three nice TV's with plenty of channels - good. When the AC was on, it blew extremely strong and it was loud! I think these units are not correct for these rooms. Thin ceilings! Watch out! The elderly person in our group got to listen to steamy sex in the room above that kept her awake for hours. I heard whistling and conversations above - not sure if it was the same room? Breakfast was ok, not as good as the other Residence Inns I have stayed at. Exercise room was clean and good but it never had any towels or hand wipes in the three times we used it though.
