Dreadful
We booked this Hotel on Booking.com and when we arrived we were given our key and had to carry our own luggage lift only goes 2 floors and we were in attic room £105 a night It was the hottest night of year no water supplied no air con a fan that was so noisy and a room like a rabbit hutch We were told every hotel with in 20 klm was full otherwise we would have left In the corridors when we went to bed there was no lightning and we struggled to find our way to our room in the attic Can’t believe you can sell a room like this definitely find somewhere else to stay in Salat
pleasant stay in sarlat
This was a nice stay, although our room was not what I would have imagined given the reviews and the pictures. Our family room had no windows and except for a glass door facing the street, which made it feel quite public, although there was curtain. The food was also quite mediocre.
Love this hotel
One night stay in beautiful Sarlat. Character hotel with fantastic ambience and friendly staff and value for money Food was excellent and location perfect Public paying Parking outside hotel was not a problem Will definitely be back
Great Location
One of many stops on a three week tour of France, this proved to be a good choice. The location is perfect, just steps outside the historic city, with easy driving access and parking. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, typical of a small French hotel. Breakfast was good in a nice setting. A great value for a superb location.
Beware of the bait and switch
We booked a "Du Charm" room, the one in the tower that looks so great in the pictures. We made the reservation in January for a late September stay. However, upon arrival we were given another "Du Charm" room not in the photos. Not sure what qualified it as charming. It had a staircase in the middle of the room that went up to an attic crawl space. The room was small to start with and the staircase did not improve things. It was also the same price as the tower room I specifically booked in January. Upon questioning the man at the front desk about my reservation and the room given to me, he simply said it was all that was available. No, I specifically reserved the tower room - in January. This was met with a gallic shrug and an all but a dismissive flick of the hand. Sarlat is a beautiful town. There are lots of quaint hotels. Do not be misled by the website into thinking you are reserving a specific room. You may end up in the tiny room with the staircase in the middle of it and pay this same price. I suggest you choose a hotel with honest management.
