Best bet for comfort, proximity to everything and price.
A former palazzo in the centre of town with rooms pleasantly furnished with a rustic stone cellar for private vino samplings. Everything is within reach and breakfast is included. Terrific for a night or two-day stay. Great value for money. If you are driving, make pre-arrangement for parking nearby.
Great location - Basic Hotel
Best part of this hotel is the location. Parking was challenging so call hotel and arrange before arrival, as you can not leave your car out front for more than 5 minutes or you will get a ticket. Get a room facing street if possible. Not much of a view, but at least you can look down on street and watch people walking by. Good restaurants nearby, as well as close to main square. We like Sassari, a very blue-collar town, though I think we would only stay for an afternoon and early evening next time, but not overnight.
Great location and staff!
The location of the hotel is very good as its walking distance to every attraction within the centre, its very clean and nice design. Also we would like to praise the young receptionist who was kind enough to show us what we can see around also in his free time as we met him on the street. He had knowledge about the history and he could also give us tips for traditional restaurants.
Excellent value for money
I stayed here for two nights in September 2017. Reception staff was very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is in old town of Sassari and is a good base for a walking tour of the city. Also the railway station is not far away and easy walkable. Bed was comfy, room was clean and furniture was new. Breakfast was included, but nothing to write home about. During my two weeks tour of Corse, Sardinia and Sicily this place was the best value for money out of six hotels I stayed.
Great location
The Hotel Vittorio Emanuele is right in the heart of the city and parking is available in a large square nearby. It was a perfect location for exploring the delightful city of Sassari. We had one of the larger double rooms with an extra bed put in for our son. There was a pleasant view over a church and other rooftops and the bathroom was large with a decent shower. It was very quiet. Breakfast was good with fruit, hot dishes and very good croissants. The staff were pleasant and helpful. One night our son wanted to eat in and, as the restaurant was only open for breakfast during our stay, the staff member suggested that he order in a pizza from the best place in town - and it was.
