Beautiful and clean lobby, with gracious staff. Fairly decent room, a little shabby, probably because of the damp climate. Downside: The washing machine was filthy: I actually had to wipe it down before putting in my clothes!! Savannah is as lovely and charming as we had heard, and it seems to have everything that a visitor could want. If you’re looking for “The Bird Girl,” she’s at the Telfair Academy museum. The Bonaventura Cemetery is also beautiful. Thank you, Savannah, Georgia!

This was surprisingly a great stay! My expectations were not very high as it was my first overnight trip to Savannah, GA and this was a last minute reservation. Also, the exterior of the hotel does need improvement as in some ways it resembles a motel... I usually prefer 4-5 star hotels and am much more prepared but this did location meet most of my expectations. I appreciate the convenience of a hot buffet breakfast and they did not disappoint. (Be sure to verify when breakfast ends so that you don’t arrive too late). The room was 4/5 overall including cleanliness and modern decor. The stairwell could use some improvement but it’s not a place where I spent most of my time. The lobby was very updated and clean. I will surely stay here in the future and won’t judge a hotel by the exterior again.

I booked this hotel through booking.com and the reviews werent too bad. Being last minute and there were no other hotels available I booked the Clarion. Upon arrival the smell hit me in the face right off the bat. smelled like old stale cigarettes and feet. We got to our room and discovered that the fridge didn't work and smelled of something vicious. The toilet was broken, the flusher was literally hanging out of the side of the toilet. There was also what appeared to be cum stains EVERYWHERE! The smell was even worse in the room than it was out in the hallway. Not to mention the giant cockroaches smashed into the carpet in the hallway. I went to the front desk and told the receptionist that we were not happy with our room. I told her about the toilet, the fridge, and the semen all over the place. She told me that someone would come by right away to address the problem. We waited about 2 hours and no one showed up so we went to dinner. When we came back from dinner they had replaced the fridge in our room and very very half-assedly attempted to fix the toilet but it still would not flush or stop running. The cum stains were still there. I went back to the front desk and told her that the toilet was not fixed and our room still was not cleaned properly. She told me that there is nothing she can do and asked if we wanted a partial refund and suggested we find another hotel. We paid a rate of $100+ per night and did not want to lose the money we already paid. So i fixed the damn toilet myself and cleaned up the cum stains from the chair in the corner. Later that evening upon climbing into what i assumed was a clean bed(should have known better) I was greeted by white sheets filled with sand and....you guessed it....more cum stains. Still unable to find another hotel in our price range and in our preferred vicinity, we went to walmart and bought new bed sheets just so we could sleep in a clean bed. Housekeeping did not come to our room not one time during the entire 3 night stay. When we asked for more towels we were told to use the ones out by the pool which were again.... ya know.... filthy. This was literally the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I cannot believe I paid this place $350 to stay here. We would have been much better off staying at a "pay by the hour motel" if I'm being completely honest. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this place. I'm not sure if I have contracted COVID from their lack of cleanliness, or gonorrhea from all of the jizz all over the place. I felt very dirty after leaving this place like I should be doing a walk of shame with my shoes in my hand. Ew.. Just ew.....

Got to the hotel. Everything seemed okay, not the best but not the worst.. eh WRONG.. later that night a HUGE cockroach runs across the floor. This thing was about two inches long.. I end up killing it! Putting it in a cup for proof. Whenever I'm packing my things and taking them to car after this I find another roach In the hallway. Whatever, I get things happen, I'm not gonna be rude about it but did indeed need to be addressed. However this is where my issue lies. I go to the from desk with my roach In a cup. I say to her this was in my room last night.. she proceeded to apologize for it but then just says well we will call pest control. Okay? That's it? So then the manager comes over and she tells him. He just LOOKS AT US.. Not a single word or facial change!!!!! Does not say sorry, does not offer a refund, nothing!!!? What the heck?! Long story short TERRIBBLE management. Terribble cleanliness problems. And the most funniest

Upon checkin my reservation was completely messed up. They had the wrong cc #, wrong phone #, AND wrong name on my reservation, they even asked if my name was a man’s name after seeing my ID and I am female :( After they said they cleared things up due to a system error, they put us in a room that smelled awful, had stains on the carpet, and neither the tv or phone was in working order. We moved to another room to again find a tv that didn’t work. We finally got a 3rd room with a tv and phone that worked but the tv was ANALOG and grainy. The bathroom was very dated and dirty, even the toilet seat was broken. The shower control was backwards, what was supposed to be hot water was cold and vice versa. There was rust on things and broken hardware. We were looking forward to the free breakfast but that didn’t start until 7am and we had to leave for a tournament every morning at 6 am so we couldn’t even benefit from that. After reading good reviews about how this place was renovated and nice, I booked it but was very upset that I did. You can’t put in a new sink vanity and tile the tub area and call it a renovation when everything else is falling apart and your tv is stuck in the late 1990’s analog system. The only good thing about this hotel was the location- close to the mall, restaurants, and stores. Please think twice before booking here. Management needs to shut this place down and do a serious renovation. If I could share pictures here I would. One last thing, upon checkout, they still had an address on my account that wasn’t mine and from another state!!
