Decent and well located

Decent small hotel, very well licated nearby the train station in Schwalbach.
Only 15 min to downtown (central railway station, Messe) by S3 line.
Large executive rooms, clean, good internet connection.
Basic breakfast, good espresso offer.
3-4 good restaurants in walking distance.
Polite desk personnel, speaking English and German.
Cheap in price but clean and neat in service!

For the price I paid, it was fine. The only difficulty was to reach the hotel by metro but I always love to travel on my own using the public transport. I went to the tourist information counter at Haupt Bahnoff, the lady was really helpful, she even called this hotel to confirm my stay before guiding me on the metro. It was just 25 minutes from Frankfurt Am Main by train and just 2 minutes from the station. The entrance is a bit tricky. Room was clean and neat, very basic. Wifi was good, easy to connect. The receptionist advised me during check-in that there will not be anyone at the reception during my check-out and asked me to leave the key at the reception when I leave. Do not expect this property to be wow! Sometimes even small things in life can give you happiness and everything doesn't need to be wow or 5*! One thing I liked in this property was that my room had a pedestal fan and so the sleep was awesome. I didn't use the air conditioning. Just left the window opened for a few hours, followed by the cool breeze from the fan. This hotel proved that a good night's sleep is always possible outside a luxury hotel!
Functional last minute option with thoroughly unpleasant staff

Near the S3 train station - seven stops to the Messe, clean rooms. Inhospitable staff, with no understanding of hospitality or customer service. Be prepared to be treated extremely shabbily. Reception person particularly unhelpful, unfriendly and aggressive. Choose only if alternative accommodation is not available. No double glazing so noise of traffic also a problem in some of the rooms. Internet access extremely poor.
Cheap hotel but with serious access drawback

Arrived just after 10pm on a Sunday in preparation for business in Frankfurt the following day, to find the hotel is locked from 10 with no night porter or access arrangements for arriving guests. Had it not been for the foresight of a colleague, already at the hotel, we'd have been stranded in a deserted concrete jungle with no other hotels around, and not even a bar where we might call a cab or get advice. The lift is switched off at 10 too, which would be worrying for any elderly or disabled guests.
Train service to Frankfurt (around 20 -25 min) only half hourly and during our visit unreliable.
One colleague was unwell during our stay: if alone, they could have been in real difficulty with no night staffing available.
In fairness breakfast was fine and the room was ok, but very basic indeed (no spare pillow?); toiletries not refreshed, mineral water not replaced either, despite 4 night stay. Left an impression of being just too pared-to-the-bone even for a (relatively) budget hotel, and the absence of service at night rules it out as one to recommend.
Decent hotel with easy access to the city

Checked the hotel Hotel is located next to the metro station which can see easily when you are off the tram. There are supermarket, drug store and some diner less than 3 mins walking distance and open market on Friday morning which is big plus for us.
The room is quite clean, not two small. The bed is a bit hard which I like lots. Bathroom is small but clean for use to use.
The breakfast has limited selection, but with various ham, egg, cheese and coffee to choose from. I am pretty satisfied.
If I am doing the business again with limited budget, I may consider to live this place again.
One disadvantage: there is only one key per room. If you come back later than 9 pm, make sure you have the room key!
