Best place to stay!

The Hilton in Santa Cruz\Scotts Valley is one of our favorite places to stay. Recently we stayed at the four points Sheraton, it was so loud there, the walls were paper thin and the beds were so uncomfortable. We moved our stay over to the Hilton in Scotts Valley where the walls were not paper thin, the beds were really comfortable and the staff were super sweet and amazing. Additionally they have an awesome pool and hot tub that stays warm all year round. They are also pet friendly which has been great because we have two little dogs we take with us. All of the stuff there were so nice and made you feel welcome and at home.
Awful Place, not in Santa Cruz but in suburbia where nothing is ever happening!

My 30th Anniversary was ruined by this hotel :( Do not stay here, beware! Customer service is virtually non-existent. Not a place to spend a relaxing time! It has the ambience of a suburban mall except it's a suburban hotel. Not in Santa Cruz at all. Restaurant sucks. The drinks were yucky, no menu, even, during the cocktail hour. Can you imagine? The bartender was unfriendly. Go to Jack O'Neill's when in Santa Cruz. Stay somewhere else like Dream Inn or Hotel Paradox. Problems which remained unresolved during a very expensive 2-night stay: 1. We stayed in Suite 222 and both TVs were not working the entire time we were there!!! The maintenance guy was not trained to deal with the satellite TV. Not that we'd be watching all the time but since we paid fir the room and amenities, the tv should be working!!! We requested to move to a different room but no dice. Ashley stonily denied us any sort of concession. No empathy, no class! 2. Construction everywhere!! 3. Loud banging in the hallways! 4. More training needed or just simply hire others who can do the job: -Receptionists-Could smile more and be more empathetic, will you? One of them offered us a $50 card for use in their restaurant after we complained 100 times about the non-working TVs. We did not eat their bacon! If you like the geriatric set, stay here. The restaurant is ridiculous compared to Jack O'Neill's, (where we had a classy, yummy dinner. Jack O'Neill's is adjacent to Dream Inn (weren't able to stay here because thy're fully-booked). -Asst. Meanager Ashley was unfriendly, pouty, icy,, indiffèrent and just generally neglectful. Instead of talking to us about why we had to wait longer than 4 pm to get our keys or why the TVs were not working, or why there were a lot of loud noise in the hallways, etc., she refused to issue a refund; said she could only offer a standard room *which she did not follow up on, btw), promised to fix the tv problem but didn't, couldn't just ineptitude all around. Ignored us in the lobby. -Maintenance guy showed up but was not wearing his mask; most importantly, not able to fix the tv problem! Kept on calling and bothering us. We paid an enormous amount of $$$ and wasn't able to enjoy the large-screen TVs. Pathetic! 5. The room we stayed at, to make the matter even worse, is stérile, dark, sorely missing a coffee table, and have hideous -colored curtains which make the room feel like a cave. It felt like a cave! 6. Tiny pool is on the 4th floor but the rooms on that floor are under construction. Unsafe! 7. No robes , no slippers, nothing cool about this place--this suburban and 80's architecture should be promptly demolished! Stay somewhere else! If you're looking for a Santa Cruz kinda vibe, this is not it for you. Staff was totally out of it, unfriendly, and not trained well. Don't stay here or you will regret it...

We came in for a funeral. 13 hour drive very long drive. The girls at the desk were amazing getting us setup with keys. Temperatures in the room were warm and didn’t cool down when adjusted. We were in a handicapped room and hoped for a table to eat our food, but we made due. The next day shower was a little shaky and the was concerning sense I am two months post a knee replacement. Had to hold on to bars because the handicap seat was slippery when wet and soapy.

The Hilton is our go-to hotel whenever we stay in Santa Cruz and we will definitely be returning in the future. The service was primo from the moment we walked in until we checked out. The front desk staff welcomed us warmly & were very accommodating to our requests. Our room was spacious, spotless and comfortable with a great view. The Stone House Bar & Grill was superb! Delicious breakfast & fantastic dinner in the evening. We would highly recommend staying here if you visit the area.
