Great place to stay!

This is our go to place when staying in Old Town Scottsdale. Great service. Everyone is so friendly. The grounds are beautiful. The pool is fun & upbeat. The rooms are nice, clean and very comfortable!

This hotel is overrated. I hardly know where to begin. #1. Its too expensive for what is. #2. If you stay in The Tower then avoid the side of the hotel facing towards the hills. Its unbelievably noisy!! HVAC blowers, drag racers up and town the main street at night. We stayed in this horrible (and overpriced) place for 3 nights and I think I got one night's sleep. And this despite me asking for a "quiet part of the hotel"! #3. There was the usual screw-up with my bill. Charging for something I never used. #4 For $600/night you don't even get a free music station on the TV. I used my cell phone instead for some music, since I couldn't sleep at night. I've stayed at hotels for less than half the price and had a better experience.
Urban Resort in a Walkable Area

Scottsdale is famous for its world class resorts and spas. Many of them, however, are like "islands in the desert" in that leaving the resort to eat, drink, and shop, etc. requires a motor vehicle and a long drive. The Hotel Valley Ho, in contrast, is an urban resort and spa within easy walking distance Old Town Scottsdale, as well as Central Scottsdale's best restaurants, bars, pubs, breweries, entertainment venues, galleries, museums, and more. We recently stayed at the Hotel Valley Ho for the second time since our first visit last year. The hotel has a 1950's feel with a modern vibe and amenities. The grounds are meticulously maintained; the staff is friendly and attentive at all points of contact; and the rooms are large, bright, and cheery, with a private patio/balcony, bathrobes, and designer toiletries. Unlike other hotels in the area that have used Covid as an excuse to cut services and charge extra fees. the guest rooms at the Hotel Valley Ho are cleaned and replenished daily and there is never a resort fee for guests who book directly with the Hotel. The Hotel has two pools -- a quiet lap pool with wading fountain for young children and the main pool with its lively weekend crowd, cabanas (for rent), and poolside food and drink service. The on-site restaurant/bar -- ZuZu -- is reasonably priced for a resort, and in addition to serving hotel guests, it draws many regulars of all ages from the neighborhood for the bar and restaurant scene. Despite the large number of four and five star hotels and resorts in the Scottsdale area, the Hotel Valley Ho remains highly popular with out-of-town guests and locals alike, because it consistently delivers a high quality experience in an urban environment. We highly recommend this place and look forward to our next visit.
Finally made it to Valley Ho!

Since we've lived here I've wanted to visit Valley Ho but something always came in the way. Today we were running errands and took a different path and suddenly I saw the sign ZUZU and we knew it was the Valley Ho. We drove up and handed our car over to the very friendly valet staff and made our way into the lobby. If you're a Mid-Century enthusiast this is your mecca. There was a 15' Teal Christmas tree adored with only twinkle lights. We decided to sit at the beautiful bar and were quickly attended to by Zach. We ordered the Burgers with fries and enjoyed the ambiance of the surroundings. Every staff/server who passed us nodded to us and Zach was attentive and friendly. The food arrived in good time and the burger was absolutely delicious and cooked exactly the way we requested, the bun was soft and buttery, and the grilled onions were the perfect extra touch. My only disappointment was the fries could have been hotter and crisp, but otherwise it was a great lunch and worth the money. We walked around the property and, again, not one staff member passed us without saying hello or asking if we needed anything. This is an amazing hotel and someday we'll come back for a Stay-cation.
Gem in the heart of Scottsdale

You cannot find a better location in Downtown Scottsdale. I love the hip feel of the hotel and the music as you are entering the front. The lobby is so welcoming. Weather was a bit cool while I was there and it was so nice to have a fire waiting for me after a walk from Old Town! The restaurant is wonderful and I highly recommend the Crème Brulee. It is the best I've ever had and I consider myself a Crème Brulee expert! Drinks were also great. We were lucky enough to have a lovely duo of live music during one of our dinners and they were terrific. The beds are very comfy - if you don't need a hard mattress. The bathroom is clean and large and has everything you could possibly need. The soaps and other products are lovely. I would highly recommend the Hotel Valley Ho.
