Good quality resort with a lot of amenities.
Resort was well set up with the exception of the exercise facility which was closed for most of our stay. The rooms were clean but carpets in our unit needed to be replaced. The furniture was also a little banged up. Appliances could be updated. The pool was very nice. The resorts location was conveniently located to the freeways for fast access. We stayed here as a result of a timeshare exchange. The additional daily fee was a bit too high given the exercise room was closed and the maid service was suspended.
Iowans in the desert
This resort was as expected. Aside from one bad bed mattress the resort was as very good. Clean, quiet. We understand but did not agree with the 25$ daily resort fee. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Resort met expectations and was in a great location. Very clean and COVID guidelines followed to a tee. We did not do any timeshare stuff . As an added note the front desk staff was superior, patient, and very helpful.
Beautiful site and wonderful staff!
Everyone we have come in contact with here has been warm and welcoming! This resort is gorgeous and well kept. We love the fully stocked kitchen supplies so we can cook what we want to while we are here. The events coordinator that we talked to after checking in gave us so much information including maps, a travel booklet/magazine, and minimal traffic routes for the adventures previously planned. This place is wonderful and we will be recommending it to friends and family when they come out to visit this area as well.
NO SURPRISES
A Resort is called a RESORT because of the amenities available WITH your unit AT NO COST!!! Though this was pawned off on RCI, the Scottsdale Villa Mirage charged us an OUTRAGIOUS CHARGE of $29.59 PER DAY FOR AMENITIES!!! This is BEYOND REDICULOUS!!! They have quite a few amenities available, which is nice for families, but we did not use any of them. They blamed RCI for the extra cost, and RCI listed it as "The Resort MAY CHARGE an activities fee." This should be restated as "The Resort WILL CHARGE AN ACTIVITIES FEE of $29.59 PER DAY!!" Charging clients like this is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!! RCI member since 1987.
Disappointment in quality
As a Diamond Resort owner we have come to expect a comfortable and clean room, but that was not the case at this resort. We requested a first floor room for mobility issues. The only one that was available was a handicap room which was fine. Our children and grandchildren, one of which is crawling, were joining us. The carpet was very stained and dirty so we couldn't let the baby on the floor. Management had the carpet cleaned which kept us out of our room for a full day and the stains returned shortly after completely drying. We have never been so disappointed and disgusted with a room. We have contacted Diamond several times, but they have yet to respond. The amenities are nice, but because of the quality of the room, we would be hesitant to stay there again.
