Excellent Resort

Reviewed 7 december, 2021

I would stay here again...would go back today! Excellent staff, rooms, amenities. We upgraded from a two queen to a pool access king. Loved it. We took advantage of the bar and pool. Easy access to Old Town Scottsdale for sightseeing, shops and restaurants.

Not the Scottsdale experience you want!

Reviewed 5 december, 2021

The check in process took more than 30 min despite me booking directly with the hotel and providing the reservation number on arrival ( Even my Hyatt member could'nt speed things up) ! I had to change my room twice, walking the resort in the dark at 11PM with no luggage porter assist looking for annexed rooms. The first room offered was old and from 20 years ago, smelt disgustingly old and dark. Not worthy of Scottsdale or Hyatt name . The second room offered was almost as bad, old broken faucets ,security locks hanging on the door by one screw. Unlockable patio doors etc There were no sanitizers in the rooms or sign of it at the reception. If I had the time I would have complained to the manager but was against deadlines and meetings . The person who checked me in just said that's all we have available nothing I can do!!! No apology!!! That is the last time I will stay in this resort. It used to be one of my regular hotels whenever on business in Phoenix. This should not be a Hyatt.

Bloody sheets and mattress

Reviewed 5 december, 2021

The hotel name made it sounds like it was going to be nicer than it actually was. I pulled back the sheets to get in bed and there were blood marks on the sheets. As I took the sheets off the bed I found even more blood and the mattress.

Sad and outdated

Reviewed 5 december, 2021

This place needs serious modernizing and updating. Rooms are dark and dingy; paint peeling; even coffee maker old and not working well. Absolutely no amenities. Lighting inside and outside terrible. Friendly staff were ineffective in enforcing minimal health and safety standards.

Sold my room - which was booked months before

Reviewed 29 november, 2021

My room type was sold out and a huge inconvenience in having to change a room for two nights after one night. The front desk rep told me had I booked directly with Hyatt that wouldn't have happened. Not the response you tell a guest checking in, that "this happens more than you can imagine". Overall a bad first impression of the hotel. Nice property but I will never stay here again. Many options in Scottsdale and won't have to worry about getting bumped.
