Surfs up!
Still love coming here as much as I did the first time I found it. The staff, like Terry and Amie, and the other front desk crew are on it! Forget your can opener? Need a bike? Can’t get sound on your TV? Forget that check out is noon:/ They are always good to me
Overall a good place to stay
I enjoyed staying here and would definitely stay again. The unit we booked was huge, probably bigger than my apartment in Portland. The extra space was really nice on a rainy day when we mostly stayed inside. The unit had a full size refrigerator, the kitchen had a full set of utensils and clean pots/pans, and all the appliances worked well. It made for a good unit for dealing with COVID restrictions at the time - we ate takeout in the full size "dining room," kept our leftovers in the fridge, and were able to reheat them in the oven & microwave. Everything was clean and neat. I felt like they had done a good job with the COVID cleaning. There was even a covered, well-protected front patio where I kept my kids' bikes overnight. The location was good - easy walking/biking distance from the main attractions. I really appreciated the free adult bikes that were available. I borrowed one and had brought my kids' bikes so we were all able to have a fun day biking around the town. The customer service here was very good as well: friendly and helpful. They were always available in the office when we needed them. They had arranged the office so that there were plastic screens between customers and workers, and had posted a sign on the door requiring only one customer at a time. I got the sense they were taking COVID protocols seriously. I took off a star for the negative aspects of this place, which were minor but noticeable in my opinion. The main negative was the condition of the unit, which could be described fairly as "a little run down." It was obvious that stained wood trim had been painted without sanding or priming and there was a lot of peeling paint. The cover on one of the overhead tube fluourescent light fixtures had significant damage and was missing maybe 10% of the cover. The wall-mounted towel rack in the upstairs bathroom was falling off. In other words the unit had some obvious superficial problems. Finally, I didn't mind the colors but I could see how they would really bother someone as they were bright and frequently clashed. Overall for me the positives (size, location, price) significantly outweighed the negatives (a little run down). Anyone who can handle a bit of imperfection could end up in a well-sized room, at a great price, with great spaces for eating/sleeping, in a close-enough location to enjoy Seaside on sunny or rainy days.
Cozy little spot
We had a great stay at Coast River Inn. It was near the beach as well as restaurants and shops. Some of the furniture was damaged and outdated, but the room was nice overall. I would definitely recommend this Seaside hotel!
Always a fun stay
We have stayed a couple times now and really enjoy this quiet part of town. Once we stayed for a much needed getaway, another time I stayed solo after a business meeting. The check in is always smooth, everyone has been nice. The water pressure is amazing! After a day of organizing and getting dirty it was everything I needed! Thank you!!
Stolen Property Had To Be Recovered By Cops
In a nut shell, something was accidentally left in the room when leaving. I called and spoke with multiple managers only to be told that it was never found. When I informed them I was going to make a police report the response was, "Our employees have worked here for several years with no issues." The police report was made and when the cops showed up and asked questions and reviewed video... the thing that was left had magically appeared. I would never recommend anyone stay here for the simple fact that the employees can't be trusted.
