Great location and excellent staff

We selected this hotel based on reviews and location to Seatac. Prior to arrival, staff was helpful in advising how to access the courtesy phones to request the shuttle from their hotel. The shuttle was prompt and delivered us to the hotel-note: it's within walking distance to Seatac, but if you have a lot of luggage, use the shuttle. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Hotel was clean. Our room faced the road, but it wasn't very noisy-good windows! Breakfast downstairs was typical hotel stuff, but it was nicely set up and staff monitored things well, cleaning and replacing items as needed.

We have stayed at Coast many times based on the convenience to SEATAC and complimentary breakfast. Hotel has aged and the complimentary breakfast was bleak. The bed was very comfortable with tons of blankets and pillows.

Excellent airport hotel

Stayed for 2 nights pre and post cruise. Older hotel but well taken care of. New carpet and drapes in rooms and beds nice and soft with numerous pillows. AC worked great as I like a cold room to sleep. Rooms very clean. Great hotel breakfast with lots of choices. Great desk staff who printed our boarding passes for us and allowed us to check in early post cruise as we were flying out the next day. The hotel is the closest to SEA-TAC. The free shuttle service is great. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend and would stay there again when returning to Seattle.

Excellent Stay

I would highly recommend a stay at Coast Gateway Hotel, especially if traveling through SeaTac airport. All of the staff that I dealt with were friendly and helpful. It is close to the airport and the shuttle service was excellent. Rooms are very nice with a very comfortable bed. I will definitely stay here again if I need an overnight stay when transiting through the airport.

Great lobby, scary bathroom, old and tired

Driving up to the hotel, the entry is pretty nice. It was a relief to see that and anticipate some rest. However, upstairs was a shock. Dark, dated room staring directly at outside airplane gates at Sea Tac...yes, can assure you it IS the closest hotel to the airport..reach out and touch someone! The bathroom is not nice and you have one light to use. But it lights up the toilet and the dressing area at the same time, not good for sleep! The tub/shower is frightening in it being totally unsafe. The hotel does provide a rubber mat...inside the far hidden corner of the tub which is half set in the wall, half out. You can't reach the mat safely without getting IN the shower, which needs a mat to be safe. Catch 22. We checked in late and no hot water, just mid warm. It never got hotter until the following morning! Despite showing there is housekeeping, there was none if you are staying more than one night. There is no "Do not Disturb" sign to allow you a late sleep in. Breakfast buffet is provided but it seemed much more limited than other Sea Tac hotels where we have stayed, and others elsewhere. There are worse hotels but the photos for the listing leads one to believe it is a much nicer hotel.
