We stayed here for one night before a cruise. The location is good. We had a nice room with a bay view. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are some restaurants close by for food and drinks.
DO NOT STAY IN PIONEER SQUARE

Let me say first THE HOTEL IS NICE CLEAN AND STAFF IS FRIENDLY. The area? Horrible. Homeless encampments are in the same block. Security was on premise 24/7 at the front which was nice. But this is not AT ALL the area I would stay in to visit the city again. It is UNSAFE- do not stay in pioneer square. City council needs to start moving on making the area safe again because It would be a great location otherwise.

I had terrible experience at this hotel, on my last visit. I travel a lot for work and I have even have stayed at this particular courtyard multiple times in the past and had decent experiences. The most important thing to me about a hotel is cleanliness. Sadly, the sanitation standards of this establishment have seemed to have slipped over the years. The floor in parts of the lobby and elevators was very sticky, and the “clean” towels in my hotel room had long black hairs stuck in them. The staff was friendly, but I will NEVER stay at this place again.
Nice water view

Just an overnight stay. Less than a block from the Pioneer Square Link light rail station. The downside was that there were a lot of homeless hanging out in the area. It's also a very steep hill up from the hotel to the station entrance, which is fine without luggage, but can be a challenge with luggage. Room and fitness room were very nice. The connected restaurant had some nice breakfast options for around $10, but some items were a little pricey ($8 for oatmeal?). I walked across the street to 7-11 for a $2 bowl of instant oatmeal to go with the breakfast sandwich I ordered from the restaurant.
Nice Hotel in Questionable Location

The hospitality and cleanliness of this hotel were unmatched. Although built in 1904, the building has been totally modernized with fast elevators, fast wifi and excellent security. And they sure to need security here. Pioneer Square is a historic tourist mecca transformed into a homeless encampment in recent years. The main square (triangle) is now a tent city and the streets around the hotel are filled with pitiful people, many with mental issues. Reading the hotel's response to older reviews, it seems the city was going to make it a "priority" to address the issue. Well, I'm sorry to report the city's efforts have been a total failure. What could be a lively tourist area filled with bars and restaurants is instead a desolate area of vacant storefronts. Sad, but true. It's not the hotel's fault, of course, but this hotel should be using its influence to make a positive change rather than distancing itself from the problem . Homeless people deserve better than to sleep on the streets around Pioneer Square.
