Stellar Location & Amazing Staff

I love this hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable - with a huge freestanding bathtub and marble bathroom, and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Shawn was super helpful in pointing me in the right direction on where to go for everything. The chowder fries are a must, probably the best chowder I’ve ever had and the seasonal cocktails are also great. Next door there is a cute gift shop and another artisanal coffee shop across the street. The hotel is just a few blocks away from the shopping center, and on Sunday a brisk walk from the stadium. A perfect place to stay if your going to watch a Seahawks game - and not deal with parking. We will be back in a heartbeat!
Fabulous room and view; Friendly staff

Stayed here for a short weekend. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My room was beautifully decorated and the view out over the water is stunning day and night. The location felt quite safe at night. The hotel is dog friendly.
Friendly service & great staycation

This was my first time using the AMEX FHR benefits, and staying at Hotel 1000, and it ended up being a wonderful staycation. We were able to check-in early, they gave us a packet on the FHR benefits, and they were also able to upgrade us to a corner suite. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful in answering questions, and our room and bathroom were super nice. We also got breakfast delivered from the restaurant downstairs to our room, and it was great! For the $100 property credit, you can use it for dinner, parking, etc, but we ended up using it on the spa. The spa staff were really nice, and it was a relaxing experience.
Precipitous decline in standards: nowhere close to 5* standards right now

We've stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times over the years since it originally opened as an independent boutique property. Standards began to slip under Loews ownership, but our latest stay on Nov 9th represents a precipitous further decline under Hilton. This hotel failed at the basics. No evening food available at all - restaurant and bar closed, NO room service (and no indication of no restaurant or room service at time of reservation on Amex FHR website). Post-stay digging around on the Hotel 1000 website shows restaurant closed (kind of buried info, should be on the landing page) but no mention room service is unavailable. Front desk told us there is NO evening food available Sun-Wed, so if you're thinking of reserving for those days: AVOID. Unable to use our $100 property credit from Amex Fine Hotels and had to walk blocks to Four Seasons Hotel to eat in their *open* restaurant. Poor maintenance levels, items in bathroom damaged. Inadequate staffing (despite well-intentioned but clearly overwhelmed front desk). Poor in-room amenities (basic white bar soap has replaced body wash, thin towels that were more like dishcloths, no robes provided until we called down to request). In-room breakfast (the only time food was available) served coffee served in cheap paper cups, no coffee pot for refill. Management will probably try to use Covid as an excuse. That *isn't* why this hotel is failing. Other hotels close by in downtown Seattle (we stayed at the Fairmont recently) are providing full, efficient service associated with five-star hotels. We've made recent trips (Sept. and Oct) to Vancouver BC, London, and Paris with Amex FHR and experienced awesome full service from properties like Shangri La, Rosewood and Corinthia London. This experience is firmly on operational choices made by new owners Hilton and the individual property management. Hotel 1000 is no longer even close to 5* hotel standards. Unacceptable. Skip this place and go to the Fairmont or Four Seasons up the street.
Beautiful rooms and friendly service

This was my first stay using AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts benefits and it did not disappoint! The staff were all incredibly nice and the room was beautiful and clean. We stayed in the corner suite and it was spacious and the freestanding tub is a nice touch. I particularly liked that the hotel feels smaller—had more of a boutique feel. The spa was fantastic and highly recommend Hailey for a massage! The golf simulator was a fun perk. The only con is that the restaurant had limited hours and days open due to COVID. But we were able to have food delivered smoothly using Uber Eats when we were hungry later in the evening. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!
