The hotel staff is one of the nicest I have encountered in Seattle. I would especially like to single our Edona who went about and beyond to make our special occasion memorable. Everyone had a great attitude and the hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms do smell like a hospital/nursing home to be honest. Also, rooms facing Madison are extremely loud. The fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night, ruining our sleep. I still gave the hotel 5 stars due to the wonderful staff members.

Great staff!

I was in town for surgery at Swedish Hospital, my previously booked room at Silver Cloud only offered a ADA room about 200' from the elevator. Kieran at the front desk did a great job of finding me a room on short notice for a weeks stay. Both Kieran and Dillon at the front desk were super helpful, Dillon even ran out to pick up a prescription for me. All the house cleaning staff were just dear. I do recommend rooms on the higher floors, as they are a bit quieter. The intimate Fireplace Room is perhaps one of the prettiest bars/ lobby areas in the US. The hamburger joint across the street is a gem, and there are several Thai / Asian spots in walking distance (not fancy but good food). A shoutout to VITO's Italian restaurant / bar for a wonderful dinner a a free "Birthday" Tiramisu, just kitty corner from the hotel. This is a special place, with a special staff!

Historic Gem with Modern Comforts

Hotel Sorrento offers the very best of old world charm and elegance with modern comforts and convenience. We stayed 2 nights in a corner queen suite which was delightfully appointed and charmingly decorated. We enjoyed the Fireside Lounge where we were served great cocktails, delicious small bites ~ try the mushroom bruschetta and the truffle fries ~ and were entertained by a terrific jazz trio that played Friday and Saturday evening. We attended a wonderful private party that was held in the hotel’s penthouse suite. The ambiance and food was outstanding. On Sunday morning we had a scrumptious brunch at Stella, the on-site restaurant. We ate outdoors on a tented patio that was cozy on a chilly rainy morning. The food was mouthwatering ~ I had the Brussels sprouts, potato, and bacon hash with a poached egg, and a delicious Bloody Mary that combined the perfect combination of flavor and heat. Every member of the staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable and our every need or want was anticipated. I can not say enough about what a gem Hotel Sorrento is and how much we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay.

I came back home from Germany because my dad was dying …the hotel sorrento was right next door we rushed to drive to Seattle before he passed showed up valet had been waiting for us and immediately took our car I checked in and made it to be with my dad before he passed we came back at 4 am and Justin was so accommodating we stayed the second night because the drive to Longview is long everyone was very accommodating later I stopped be the fireside bar and the bartender John was awesome we had a great stay the beds were comfortable even the couch bed and the service from everyone was awesome the housekeeper she did a great job fixing up the couch. Family came to visit us there as well and loved the hotel but something strange happened on the floor we stayed on …not sure if it’s haunted but we all heard a voice saying it’s going to be ok as I was opening the door we looked around and didn’t see anyone around but at least whoever said it was comforting my only complaint was the internet didn’t work on iPhones but it worked for android great job to the staff at this hotel

Late summer getaway

Really nice clean well taken care of older hotel. Rooms upgraded and very nicely done with upgrader linens and bed. Super easy check-in and hope you get Dillon. She was great! Friendly, nice and helpful always. Restaurant on-site. No breakfast. Many restaurants close by but hotel on steep hill so walking is a work-out. Starbucks up the street and 206 burgers across the street. Good burgers, fries and beers.
