Great time in Seattle
Reviewed 3 november, 2021
First time staying at the Marriott waterfront and I was actually impressed. I was appointed a nice king room with a view and I felt the beds were comfortable and the rooms nicely organized. Obviously still in Covid times so it’s not in full service but that’s the reality of travel. They are putting forth a great effort and I look forward to returning next time I find myself in Seattle.
Convenient Location for Tourist Activities
Reviewed 29 october, 2021
The quality of the service and amenities are what you would expect from a Marriott property. There's a number of great dining and tourist options within easy walking distance. There were many folks staying there for the convenience of being near to where the large cruise ships embark. The staff was very helpful as far as making recommendations for dining.
Overpriced ala cart hotel
Reviewed 3 october, 2021
Hotel is overpriced ala cart hotel with nothing included! No free internet (15/day) no free coffee no free continental breakfast. It's like the rest of town way too expensive. $15-20 hamburgers dinner entrees start $40. Attractions $37 space needle mo pop museum $52. Aquarium $35. The city is torn up all over making walking impossible. The streets have 25 degree incline and no working monorail. I'll never come back and regret coming.
The worst experience I've ever had at a Marriott
Reviewed 27 september, 2021
Arrived from cruise ship early in the morning to see when we could check in. We had the "best suite in the house" reserved (804), but it wasn't ready. Jesse was helpful, said he'd call me when it was ready. Called in around noon just to check, and the front desk person (Ron) was incredibly rude. Jesse was at lunch and Ron said he had no idea when the room would be ready...."how am I supposed to know that?" Tried to confirm that it would be ready by check in time (4pm), he said he had no idea. Never heard from anyone. We arrived back about 330, were unlucky enough to speak with Ron again, and his actions were again unacceptable. He said the room was not ready, and had no idea when it would be. At 430, my wife spoke with Tamara, who was incredibly helpful, said the room still showed not ready, but disappeared and came back shortly, apologizing profusely and stating that the room had been ready the whole time, just wasn't updated correctly in they system. The room had a gorgeous view, but was dirty and run down. The door on the cabinet holding the refrigerator was falling off, and bath light fixtures had layers of dusty fuzz on them. AC control didn't seem to do anything. When bags were delivered, one was mixed up with someone else's. Really disappointing experience from a Marriott, especially one as expensive as this was. Wouldn't ever stay here again, mostly because of Ron, although the bag issue and the room condition added on to a very negative experience. It's a shame because all the other staff we dealt with were kind, helpful, and tried hard. Don't stay here for the ocean views. As noted by someone else, cruise ships will block much of your view of the ocean, but it was interesting to watch the activity around them.

The hotel stay was not a great experience. Our water view was blocked by a large cruise ship the entire visit. The beds were uncomfortable and parking was expensive. Plus with all the construction walking around town was difficult. However, the staff were fantastic - really great customer service. The team is why I gave at 3 instead of a 2.
