Really loved being greeted and checked in by my first name rather than the usual informal Sir. Even more impressed that my name was remembered during my two night stay, as this is a very popular establishment, and rightly so. Top class food and all round excellent service in a beautiful part of the country as well as being very dog friendly makes the Oakhill inn a brilliant place to stay

Very friendly and efficient staff, short but varied menu, I had flat iron steak which was beautiful and my husband had fish and chips which he said was excellent and very light. We shared a lovely cheesecake. Good atmosphere, seemed a popular local pub. Would definitely go again.

Arrived late Sunday lunch time. Had a fabulous roast. Staff very professional and efficient cheerful and friendly. Good mix of locals and others. Perfectly clean rooms with crisp sheets and lots of cushions and towels. Super breakfast. Would definitely return and recommend.

We visited the Oakhill last night for our daughters 11th birthday. Our daughter is profoundly disabled and wasn’t in the best of health but thanks to the amazing welcome we received we had a fabulous meal. The landlady and bar staff couldn’t do enough for us, they were upbeat and we all had a good laugh. They moved tables for our daughters wheelchair and made sure we had suitable cutlery for her to eat. The food was delicious, fairly priced and my husband tells me the beer was spot on! To top it off they added candles to our daughters desert to sing happy birthday. Our daughter is non verbal but that wasn’t even considered, she was treated as any other 11 year old would be. Thank you Oakhill we will be back

Quite simply the best pub lunch I have had for a long time! Eclectic menu. I had the prawns and a delightful passion fruit pudding in their beautiful courtyard garden. The host and hostess were attentive and looked after us very well.
