We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. The hotel is not near Sendai JR station and we had to walk about 10 minute. The room was quite small but the bed was comfy and had all anemities. The best part of this hotel is onsen although not large but very good as there were both indoor and outdoor onsen. The staff was friendly and helpful.

More suited for business travelers
Reviewed 9 december, 2022
This was the family’s first time trying the APA brand of hotels in Japan. I guess it’s more suitable for business Travellers than families. The rooms didn’t have air conditioning and only heater. Told the front desk that we couldn’t stay in a hot room but was told that there was no way to switch it into air conditioning as it’s centralized controlled. But they did their best and gave us portable air conditioning machine. There was an onsen within the premises but was relatively crowded. Room was small but their draw was their television set which was extremely big. We tried opening the window to let the cold air in but our room was just above the railway and Shinkansen track which was really annoying when they passed.

Hotel with some difficulties in use
Reviewed 29 october, 2022
It's a business hotel with a very large number of guest rooms, but it has some difficulties in terms of use, and is not a hotel that I would willingly recommend. Although the name of the hotel is "Sendai Station," it's further away from Sendai Station than other hotels, and there is no underground walkway or other means of shelter from the wind and rain during stormy weather, so walking to the hotel from Sendai Station during stormy weather will be a hassle. In addition, there is a pedestrian bridge from Sendai Station, which is not equipped with an elevator, and wheelchair users and those with large luggage may be forced to make a detour at traffic signals. Atago Uesugi Dori in front of the hotel is crowded, especially during commuting hours, and the hotel's private parking lot is often full. In anticipation of many guests, the hotel has four elevators, but even so, guests often have to wait in the elevator hall before they can use the elevators (there are no sensors in the elevators to hold up a card key to access the desired floor). Each room in business hotels is often small, but the rooms in this hotel are quite small, perhaps because the hotel is designed to try to have more guest rooms on each floor. During periods when room rates are set higher, such as for seasonal events, you may find that the room rates are higher and not worth it. The staff is generally courteous and the rooms and the entire hotel is kept clean, but if there were other hotels available that were closer to Sendai Station, I may recommend them, even if the room rates were slightly higher.

Close to the Sendai Bullet Train

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful as when I booked, I added a second night at a later point, and they quickly combined the two bookings to save us having to check in and out. Breakfast was nice and there’s a Japanese dining room available if you want a more authentic experience. An Onsen is also available...sadly I had no time to experience it. The room was very cosy but had a decent sized bed. It’s a short walk to the rail station and shopping etc. Highly recommend this place.

Fair but not excellent

A bit hard to find, because you can see it but can't reach it from the viewpoints. Seems pretty new, and quite comfortable. Pillows are dire. No idea whose idea, but not a good one. Breakfast doesn't live up to promise. The worst breakfast , from a westerners viewpoint, that we had in Japan. Picture showed fresh fruit, something like smoothies, and a wide variety of different foods including different breads. In practice little of this was present in the flesh.
