Pensión Javier

I highly recommend you 𝗗𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧 book a stay at Pension Javier! We booked a room with a double bed and air conditioning...guess what? Two single beds and the air conditioning was broken. The attitude of the owner - "Not my problem" and she argued that two single beds make the room a double... You couldn't use the TV because there was a fan plugged into it, and the bathroom stank of damp. We asked for a refund so we could stay else where and the owner refused and started arguing with my other half about it (he speaks spanish). Both the owners in general were extremely rude the entire stay, especially the woman. They made it extremely clear they didn't want us staying there. When we checked out this morning we asked if we could store our bags as advertised when booking and yet again they got an attitude about it and refused, so we asked if we could book another night as our flight isn't until half 9 tonight and yet again she said it's "Not their problem" and that they had no rooms left yet we can clearly see their rooms are available online. We're now off to the airport, having wasted a whole day of our trip thanks to a grumpy old witch! Do not be fooled by their reviews on booking.com!

A very nice spanisg couple runs the place. They are very strict about noise and stuff, but that is no problem. Rooms are very basic, but clean. When U look at the location there is no better deal to get. We've enjoyed our stay very much and this nice couple gives you a lot of information about the city ..just ask

It was terrible I cant even chose where to begin. Keeper was unable to speak one word of English and you have to give your keys to her when leaving the pension. Common shower had different colors at the bottom like grey yellow etc. Our room was like a prison cell and of course bugs on the bed. TL&DR DO NOT STAY HERE!

On arrival the owners would not take payment by card and insisted on cash. The room was infested with cockroaches which they seemed to think was normal. We checked out and moved to a another place. They were unhelpful to say the least

Very small rooom close to Lobby which I found really noisy especially when the noise was staff talking loudly on cell phone. I complained but it was denied and I felt like I was being called a liar. You have to leave your room key when you go out and it is on a hook in the lobby, very unsafe!!. No front door key so they have to let you in every time. Sorry, I am not a child so this is unacceptable. Easily the least welcoming place I stayed during my recent trip to the area.
