Room booked true wowcher.Com. So sorry I didn't look at rewies, 99% rewies tells to avoid this place. Hotel Not welcoming. Carpet coverd in stains same as sofa. Dirty handles, light switches, kattle. Fire alarm 2am, cigarette smoke smell in hallway. All hotel smells of puke. Worst experience.

Nice place to stay, just sadly quite empty. Good food and drink, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and clean room (though hot water in shower didn't work properly). Id recommend it and will stay there again. Thanks to all concerned. (side note, interesting history too)

Dangerously dirty. First room(37) was unusable had to request a move . Dirt everywhere at hazerdous levels . Bedside tables, sofa and bath the worst but whole room covered in dirt . Under bed months of dirt including multiple dirty tissues rotting orange and three pens . Reception said cleaner was busy day before. Considerably more than a days dirt. Bath so bad would be serious risk of illness or legionnaires if using . Had to move bed to identify whether the white stains all down bedside were also on mattress. Staff did move us to another room (12a) without fuss but did not take cleanliness levels seriously. New room better but still filthy . Bathroom dangerous mold levels , sofa covered in multiple stains, lamp with glass shade that wasn't secured and fell off and shattered when turning on switch , bidet that ran constantly with boiling hot water and tap was too loose to turn off, one towel for two people, tea tray not refilled from last person so no tea . They're just the top list of things! All in all the worst hotel I've stayed at. Staff seemed apathetic whilst we were there Every guest we passed in reception was there to complain or raise concerns (multiple of them). We are not overly fussy people and understand it is not possible to get things perfect every time . Worn tired decor, furniture and carpets etc we do not mind but this was beyond that and especially in current climate where cleaning is even more important.

Filthy hotel. Found a pair of mens underpants in my 6 year old daughters bed, obviously the sheets hadn’t even been changed!! Left the hotel to drive home at 11pm rather than stay there it was that bad. Still haven’t received a refund and it’s been 2 months since my booking. Avoid.

Hiya Visited today mothers day for afternoon tea gift ? Truthfully no attempt was made to make the experience special flowers table nice little extra ok i didnt expect alot for the price but one of those places dark dingy no atmosphere you just want to eat and get out? It appears the staff polite trying to make most of what they got but honestly a few nice touches makes such a difference The actual afternoon tea white bread no choice of brown shop bought pastries up the price chatge abit more a litle extra touches or forget it all together hope this is constructive critism ?
