Credit Card Fraud and Security issues. Read!!!!!!
They also lied to us and we caught them!

Several issues identity and credit card security issues. Don’t STAY at the Shelbyville Indiana Holliday Inn Express and Suites. Whatever you do do not get a room facing the interstate. The noise was so loud I had to use ear plugs due to the semi trucks noise. When we checked in the person at the desk wrote my credit card number on a post it note. I said I would prefer to use the card machine for security reasons. Why would you write it down. Are you going shopping? She said that is how she does it. So at check out they charged the wrong persons card based on the plethora of post it notes with card numbers. Also I was told if they try to fix it I will be charged twice. Liars, credit card security issues and poor service. I asked for the General Manager or owner at check out after this drama. I was told he was not in by the gentleman behind the desk. So I picked up a business card at the front desk that has Gopesh Patel General Manager on it. I called the mobile number listed. The guy that had just lied to me answered the phone. He had no idea it was me (standing in front of him). I asked why he had lied and he just blew it off.
New, clean, comfortable, better than expected, would stay again!

Pros: Very clean top to bottom, new/modern decor, sheets/towels in great condition, very spacious room (2 queen beds), comfortable mattresses and pillows (feather and non), in-room fridge, MW & keurig, hot free bkfst with superb cinnamon rolls, super fast checkin, friendly employees, convenient location, icy cold & quiet AC
Cons: you can hear and feel everything thru the walls and ceiling, poor sound insulation. I usually only stay at Hilton and Marriott properties but I would definitely stay here again.

Driving into the hotel, we noticed it was back behind several other hotel chains. Road was in need of repairs. Area seemed a little run down although on the main road, a new gas station was in and a new Zaxbys was being built.
Room smelled musty. Sheets were thin and cheap. I did not feel comfortable sleeping in the bed - it didn't feel clean to me. Conditioner dispenser in the shower was empty. The water pressure was low in the shower.
Breakfast area was out of stock on many items by 7:30am.
We had chosen this hotel as a halfway point for travel between Wisconsin and Virginia and also because we tend to stick with Holiday Inn Express. It stated it was newly remodeled so I figured it would be quite clean and nice. It felt like a motel 6 renovation. A little paint on some outdated walls and cheap carpet. I did like the shades on the windows.
It was definitely not what we're accustomed to with Holiday Inn Express.

I liked several features of this motel. The unique modern table lamp had adjustable light settings. The TV remote--usually one of the dirtiest motel items--was sanitized. The bathroom had environmentally friendly pump shampoo and soap instead of tiny plastic bottles. The room temperature was reasonable not the frigid air conditioning at some motels. The room was very dark conducive to good sleep.

Took forever to check-in. TV did not work in 307. Told clerk and she said she would reset it, that did not work. Clerk came to room and fixed tv, but I turned off later, and then would not work again. Light was out over bed. A half bottle of complimentary lotion was left in the b bathroom. Was the room cleaned properly??? There was a musky smell in the room, mold??? The bed was too soft for my taste. I reported tv problem to clerk at checkout, and was told they would give me some HI points, but I did not receive them!!!
