Two Night Stay for Kentucky Derby

The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and also reasonably priced considering it was Derby weekend. We would highly recommend this hotel and plan to return in the future!

Good location, but maintenance and cleaning issues

This was my first stay at a Country Inn & Suites. I had heard good things about this chain, but chose the hotel mainly because of the location. It was very close to I-65, and plenty of restaurants. My family and I stayed for one night. The hotel is dated and had some maintenance and cleaning issues. It was not up to the quality and aesthetic that I am used to with other suite hotels (e.g., Residence Inn, Springhill Suites, Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, etc.). There was a sticky substance on a spot on the carpet in the living area that was very noticeable to all of us in the room. The bathroom had maintenance issues such as the bottom of the door frame was rusted out and rotted looking. The bathtub also had rust and dents/scrapes. The dresser/tv stand in the bedroom had the back leg broken off. These are things that I would expect would be updated and maintained better. Not a huge deal, but one pillowcase on the bed had a broken zipper - just would expect better attention to detail. I was going to tell the front desk attendant about all of these issues at check-out. However, when I went to the front desk to check out, there was no one there. I am not sure if all Country Inn & Suites hotels are like this, but I am hesitant to stay at another one.

The hotel staff was nice and welcoming. The check-in was easy and they had good breakfast options. Breakfast was put away pretty early on the Sunday of our stay so that was a bummer . We would stay here again.

Prying for medical reason for a service animal and i dont intend to use them again. When i made a reservation i informed them that i had the service dog and no issue was made of it. At check in they questioned me at length about why I had to have a service animal. And wouldnt check me in until i disclosed my personal medical information to them
