Thank you for every wonderful staff who served for us during my stay. Especially Mr Rajesh from the restaurant. He is really kind person. Hotel is situated in the peak of Shirahama. The building and facilities is modern. When we arrived the hotel, they will escort you to take the welcome drink first in lounge then the the lady receptionist will explain the facilities and show you the way to room. The hot springs is really comfortable and facing the town. Room is average as we booked the standard room but they do have rooms with balcony. Highly recommend! The dinner meal is served Italian and taste is yummy with quality. Morning breakfast is extremely delicious compared to other resort hotel. They serve fresh sushi, fruit, juice…… and separate three different sessions to eat. In summer, swimming pool is open to use & gym room is available. When we leave the hotel, two gentlemen help us put the luggages inside the car and farewell us until our car totally away from hotel. Really enjoyable the stay and recommend who come to Shirahama.

Without question, the most magnificent experience all round. Staff go above and beyond to be friendly and communicate. The ocean view is awesome and the onsen is one of a kind - indescribably beautiful ✨

This hotel is the place to be if you want peace and quiet. We went with the family and stayed for 2 days. The name of the hotel refers to the pool In the Spa which the best view. Also the outside pool is great. In the evening, there is not much to do in the hotel, not the best place for youngsters! Tennis court was in bad shape and clearly not used for a long time.

A cozy new hotel built in 2017. Lovely souvenir shop and spa with hot spring water, Rooms are spacious , very clean with tatami room set up with beautiful seaview, 2,1/2 hour drive from KansaiAirport.The 5 star Italian Giovanni restaurant with Italian chef Verona presents amazing dishes each one looks like a piece of art. I definitely recommend staying here if you want to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

Beautiful hotel, but needs some tweaking

We took a cab from Tanabe - and had a lot of trouble communicating our destination to five cab drivers. (Thank goodness for Google translate.) The hotel is visually striking, perched on a hill about 10 minutes from Shirahama Beach. We used the daily shuttle to get in to town, with a 1,000Yen taxi fare back. We were happy to be away from the busy beach. Our Ocean View room was beautiful, great balcony to sit on, sip tea and enjoy the views - and nightly fireworks! Two niggles. Firstly, no hooks in the bathroom, so nowhere to hang the robe or towel. Secondly, Wifi was poor and we needed a booster device to get decent coverage. The breakfast was very good, Mostly Japanese food, which was fine, with some pastries if we wanted a break. We have stayed in similar hotels (ie not cheap!) that have offered a chef making omelettes on demand. The pool was disappointing. No more than 20m long, with no lounges, so we had to sit on chairs! And not much shade outdoors, so not very inviting. I visited the small gym most days and while the equipment was reasonable, it would have been great to have water and perhaps music while exercising. On the positive side, the staff were brilliant. Only a couple had any English (thank you Choi and Chee Ho), but everyone was courteous and friendly towards us. Our highlight was sitting on the balcony of the main lounge, with a gin and tonic, enjoying the afternoon sun and the eagles (or hawks?) gliding through the valley.
