Excellent my stay there was 2 weeks and not one complaint from me and Cody my dog
Everything was okay, everyone loved my dog Cody and maintenance man was a special guy that would go out the way for you, thumbs up to him! And all staff Day-and-night shift Treated me with a lot of respect I wanna came morning the ladies that were serving breakfast Were very friendly
Balcony and Breakfast aren't enough
While this hotel has rooms with lovely balconies right on the Colorado River, it isn't enough to make up for its faults. The rooms all stink having been pet rooms at one time or another. The beds are hard and sunken with pillows as hard as rocks. Its one of the few places that still provides a hot breakfast that is wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful but none of its worthwhile without a good nights sleep, which is impossible here.
Wonderful gem
I will start this by saying I am somewhat of a hotel snob. We were driving to Iowa on a roadtrip from California and I exhaustively searched for the best hotels along the way that I would feel comfortable in the era of Covid. I chose this Holiday Inn Express mostly because most of Glenwood Springs was sold out and I needed something in the vicinity. We were incredibly happy with this choice and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I paid the extra $5 for a balcony, which was well worth it to have my coffee on the balcony overlooking the beautiful Colorado River, which is directly behind the property. A truly spectacular sight. The room itself was spotless, and came with a very chilled fridge with a freezer compartment, which was extremely useful as we had a cooler of food and ice packs. The check in staff could not have been nicer. The hotel had signs up everywhere reminding people to keep their distance and the hotel's protocols for Covid. Breakfast was grab and go with two hot options that someone brought out to you. Very sanitary. The rooms aren't huge, but was perfectly fine for one night for my family of four. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!!
Best Hotel in the area
We had a week long vacation staying in several Holidays Inns and this one by far was the best. Hot breakfast everyday. Breakfast attendant told us of some local spots that were just breathtaking. Friendly and accommodating especially considering covid 19 issue
Nice Property Overlooking the River
This is a nice hotel with a convenient location. The rooms on the back, or South, side of the building overlook the Colorado River. Staff was great however the room was average. I listened to my neighbors' snoring and TV all night (walls are not at all sound dampening) and didn't get much sleep at all. To get cold water out of the bathroom faucet I ended up having to go under the vanity and manually turn off the hot water. The shower handle just spun around in circles and only one precise spot provided warm water. Some of the repairs made in the room are sub-par for a Holiday Inn with the granite shelves reinstalled at screwy angles and messy caulking around the outside of the shower. Other than that, the room was clean - I will give them credit there. My only other complaint is that I stay at more affordable hotels that provide much larger TV's in the room. 32" used to be the luxury standard, but it's time to upgrade guys.
