Room was lovely but not keen on stairs! Staff superb as on last visit. Liked being served for breakfast. Had good Thai meal in Brasserie but ambiance ruined by proximity to spa meaning noisy people in dressing gowns constantly passing through and sitting in bar!

Midweek indulgence spa package

I was really impressed with this whole package. The room was clean and comfortable, spa was lovely and the food and wine were good. All the staff were attentive , special mention to the lady at breakfast who was exceptional! Would highly recommend and will visit again.. my friend and I both felt refreshed and recharged, it really lived up to its name and was pure 'midweek indulgence'

We used a red letter day experience to stay for one night at the Hempstead House Hotel and Spa... Hands down, the best experience of staying in a hotel we've ever had.. The decor is slightly dated in areas but our room was spotless, with a lovely new modern bathroom, and the comfiest bed! I usually struggle to sleep on the first night in a new place but I slept so well! We stayed on a Sunday night- the hotel seemed very quiet. We had a 3 course dinner included with our stay / voucher - the menu was a la carte. Fillet steak (had to pay a supplement) was the best we'd ever had. Breakfast was delicious. Self service continental items (cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc), then a cooked breakfast - great quality. Service throughout the hotel was exceptional - second to none. From the first call to book in with our Red Letter Voucher code to every member of staff we encountered throughout our stay. On our day of departure we made full use of a day in the spa. Although smaller than some, very well maintained, excellent facilities and very clean. Thank you so much Hempstead House for such an amazing stay. We'll be sure to return at some point.

Wedding night

We've been to Hempstead House once befofe for our anniversary, so decided to book again for a wedding night away before our honeymoon. The staff and facilities here are superb, and the food is top notch. On this stay we were again very pleased, even having the same room as before, a deluxe, with Jacuzzi bath and walk in shower. Dining here is a treat in terms of service, food, and ambience everything feels 5 star. We didn't get to enjoy the spa this time (mainly from being exhausted from the wedding) but know from last time it is well equipped with treatments, saunas, steamroom, pool and hot tub. They've also completed their outdoor pool area, and the grounds are very serene and tranquil despite proximity to a busy road, the thick surrounding of trees makes you feel you are miles away in the countryside. I'd like to especially thank Mike for making our stay perfect. I highly recommend Hempstead House for a getaway.

Fabulous place to visit

Visited here for the second time and loved it as much as the first. Staff cannot do enough for you, all.so pleasant and friendly. Food was lovely, room was amazing with THE most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. They've recently added some play areas for the kids and other little nooks which are nice to explore, the space was utilised very well without spoiling the landscape. Loved it and would definitely go back.
