Wonderfully welcoming stay at the Al Centro Suites in Sorrento
We have just got back today from a 6 night stay at the al centro suites. We’ve had this booked since February 2020, and we’ve had all of lockdown and easing of lockdown between then and now, and we were so fortunate our holiday wasn’t cancelled, nor did we have to quarantine upon return so we have been very fortunate. Nobody in Italy asked “why are you here, don’t you know there’s a pandemic on?”, they were more than happy that tourists were finally venturing to Italy, and with temperature checks, face masks and track and trace systems virtually everywhere we went, we felt very secure about being in Italy. Adriana and Federica were there ready and waiting when we arrived mid-afternoon, with some welcome refreshments after our very hot train ride from Naples to sorrento. The apartments are very central (hence the name, I expect!), are on the third floor (don’t worry, there’s a lift) and close to all of the shops, cafes and restaurants. Both were wearing face masks and there’s a hand sanitiser pump at the entrance to the apartments, and guests are asked to come wear face masks in the communal parts of the building. We stayed in the Lavender apartment, which was spectacular - two balconies with a magnificent view over the Gulf of Naples and mount Vesuvius, the lower balcony having an outdoor shower! The duplex apartment was very clean and tidy with all amenities you could need - kettle, crockery, cutlery, towels, bedding, fridge, air conditioning, a safe and toiletries. Federica showed us a variety of tours and trips she could book us onto if we were interested, and we took her up on the offer of the Amalfi coast and Capri tours, both of which were very enjoyable. Federica also kindly baked us a homemade tart and left it in our room, which we very much enjoyed. All in all a lovely stay and I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to stay in Sorrento.
Just all round fantastic
Loved the location, cleanliness of this apartment, the breakfast was delivered daily at a time we requested also my wife being Wheat Intolerant and Dairy free they catered for our needs with daily contact via What’s App making sure we was ok and if we needed anything.
Great location, wonderful owners, fantastic suites!
Why stay in a hotel when you can stay in a great flat with kitchen and spacious rooms? Amazing balcony views of sorrento where you can sip your coffee in the morning and vino at night! Highly recommend staying here as Adriana and her family are welcoming and accomodating.
Central location, Friendly & Helpful Staff, Great View
Highly recommend Al Centro Suites, central to city square, train station and port. Very friendly staff, Chiara was a big help with dinner recommendations and reservations as well as booking a tour of the Almalfi Coast. 2 room suite with bedroom up, kitchenette and bathroom below.,
Central location, clean, comfortable and friendly
We have just returned from a wonderful few days at the Al Centro Suites located in the heart of Sorrento. There are just three, modern, self contained apartments and we stayed in the one called ‘Ortensia’. Our room was delightful, comfortable and very tastefully furnished. The room was on two floors with a small kitchen, seating area and shower-room/toilet downstairs and a double bedroom upstairs. We also had a good-sized balcony with view across the bay. We chose to have breakfast each day and this consisted of yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants, pastries, and toasties plus orange juice, coffee or tea. Breakfast was delivered to our room each day at a time we chose. The Al Centro Suites are close to the main square of Sorrento, and close to many bars and restaurants and only a short distance to the path and lift that takes you down the cliff to the port where we caught ferries to Capri, Positano and Amalfi. Also close to the railway station where we caught the train to Pompeii. Very friendly and helpful staff who gave us lots of advice on where to go, what to see, train and ferry times. We would certainly use the Al Centro Suites again if we visit Sorrento again in the future. By the way, we chose to use the Curreri Viaggi transfer coach which goes from Naples airport, all the way to Sorrento train station for only 10 euros per person and takes about 1-1.5 hours. You can either book online in advance, or pay the driver. We thought this was great value, so easy, and gave us great views of the coastline en route.
