We stayed at the Grand Hotel Flora at the end of August for 7 nights, even though this stay was during Covid the hotel Staff went out of their way to ensure that all the guests were safe and had the best holiday they could. The hotel is in a perfect position a short stroll from the centre, the lovely top floor restaurant has stunning views looking out over The Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, the perfect place to watch the sun go down.
The hotel pool is beautiful and clean with plenty of sun loungers, and a lovely seating/eating area. We love Sorrento and would not choose to stay in any other hotel.
All the staff at the hotel really looked after their guests, they were always ready to help and answer any questions, Thank you all, special mention to Edmundo, Marino and Gennaro.
We will definitely return.

Stayed at The Flora for a week in early September and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
All staff we encountered on reception and in the restaurant were warm, welcoming and helpful.
The hotel rooms are fairly basic, bed very comfortable with extra pillows provided, nice powerful shower, free safe, TV, fridge and a small balcony overlooking the pool with a table and 2 chairs.
No tea/Coffee making facilities in the room though.
The pool is nice and big and very clean and plenty of sun loungers around the pool. No umbrellas though but the sun beds have a part on them that can lift to shield your head from the sun.
Breakfast was very limited and inconsistent. One day I was offered eggs, which came up served with 4 rashers of bacon, the next day only 2 rashers, then the next day no bacon at all!
Some days there was some nice sourdough bread for toasting, the next, cheap packet white bread and it takes about 4 goes round in the toasting machine to toast your bread!
There was the usual Ham, cheese, fruit, pastries and cereals as well but for a supposed 4 star hotel, breakfast is a let down.
The close proximity to Piazza Tasso makes this hotel well worth staying in though, it is only a 7-10 min walk away.
Nice hotel but not so sure of it’s 4 star rating though, more a 3 star + for me.

Not a four star hotel. Jenaro at reception is just rude and quite threatening. Rooms not fixed even though we were informed previous guests have had the same issue(s). By far the worst hotel we have stayed in. The restaurant staff were very good and this should be noted. TUI just ignored the complaint. TUI staff on site did their best.

We arrived at the hotel from Rome late on on Sunday, March 8th. On Monday morning we discovered that all museums, etc. were closed and that groups were limited to a max of 6 people. At that point our tour group (44 people) decided it was best to return to Canada. It is easy to criticize the tour company but in the end they got us all home. However..... the agent in Sorrento abandoned us on Wednesday and we never saw him again. The hotel however was fantastic. They posted information as it was available and arranged for meals when all the restaurants in town were closed. Thank You .
