Hotel Antiche Mura

My husband and i just wanted to leave a review of the Villa Antiché Mura from our wedding there this September, the experience was honestly absolutely perfect. The management Team, Michele were amazing and had everything organised to perfection ready for us. The venue was absolutely out of this world.. absolutely beautiful and it was everything we was hoping for and more. The food was impeccable and the service from start to finish was outstanding. We couldnt praise you all enough so thankyou again for making our day so special. Mr and Mrs Dinsdale

We stayed here for a week and it was excellent. The quality of the accommodation and the location in the town centre were superb. The reception staff were helpful and friendly and the restaurant team were the same. COVID compliance was very well attended to also. No complaints at all.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a junior suite. One of the best thing about the hotel is the location - two minutes walk from the centre of Sorrento and very close to the train station. The staff were very welcoming and informative on arrival, and the hotel has implemented a number of measures to manage the Covid risk which were being followed meticulously. We got a great deal on a junior suite which was a large room with a private veranda outside. When we got into the room, someone had left the aircon on 28 degrees and it took a while for the room to cool down - never felt like the room really hit the right temperature after this! There are large windows along the wall however we didn't really get the benefit of this as the thinner curtains didn't really let enough light in - different privacy curtains would make a big difference. Other than these points, the amenities of the room were good and we really liked the turn down service with the chocolates on the pillow! Breakfast was included in our rate and there was made to order hot food plus a sweet buffet - never seen so much cake at breakfast other than in Vegas! The food was really good and service quick apart from the Sunday morning when the hotel was very busy. We spent a day by the pool which is fairly small, but this is one of the few hotels in Sorrento with a pool which doesn't cost a fortune. There are lots of sun loungers but only some which are in the sun all day. Towels are provided and the beds are currently being cleaned after use due to the Covid risk. I'd definitely recommend the hotel based on the location - just a few things which could be improved in the room which would make it a 5 star stay.

Nice hotel in excellent, central location. The staff are very nice and welcoming. The rooms are clean and always nice to come back to. There's a good pool area with a bar. Our room had a little outside area that overlooked the pool so it was like having it in our backyard. Other guests were quiet and pleasant, so it has a good culture. Our only complaint is that for the money there are better places in Sorrento with free water and a better breakfast. We were upgraded when we requested but not sure if that would have happened if it wasn't for covid.

Like most of the reviews here we simply could not fault the hotel. Ideal location and wonderful service by every single member of staff we encountered in this immaculately maintained, historic building. The owners, management and staff deserve all the credit they are given here. As an when we return to Sorrento we will have absolutely no hesitation in coming back.
