Pleasant Stay
This was our second time staying at the Windjammer, but the first in the Covid era. We were able to take care of all of the check-in details online the day before, so when we arrived, all we needed to do was pick up our keys from the front desk (which of course, has plexiglass). I had called the day before to see if we might be able to check in early and was told it was likely, but to call 30-60 mins before arrival so that they could confirm (we were driving there, so that was easy for us to do). When I called, they were able to confirm we would be able to check in right away -- which we were very thankful for as Covid makes it a little more difficult to "kill time" waiting for a room. In all of my interactions, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We once again booked the family suite which was terrific. It meant none of our kids had to share a bed and there was a table and chairs which allowed us to pick up food and eat in the room. Due to Covid, we didn't spend any time in the common areas of the hotel, but everything seemed clean. The hotel is incredibly convenient to UVM, and we won't hesitate to stay here again.
2 bedroom suite is a must!
We reserved 2 - 2 bedroom suites for the Christmas holiday. The accommodations were perfect! Clean, spacious rooms and great location. Staff was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed as there was limited dining options available. Will definitely stay here again...and definitely in the 2 bedroom suite!
great place
We stayed at this hotel for one night. Charlie was exceptional in helping us with everything we needed. He was knowledgeable about the hotel and friendly when answering any questions we had. We asked to checkout at 12 instead of 11, and he offered us a 1pm checkout instead, which was super thoughtful. Charlie is definitely an asset to this hotel. In the morning, we were trying to find the breakfast room, and the staff (i believe maintenance) in the lobby enthusiastically guided us there. Everyone we encountered here was SO friendly, even if they were not the front desk staff. This location has mastered customer service.
This is a great hotel
We have stayed in this hotel twice. We will stay here again. The location is close to food and drinks as well as onsite bar. The pool was nice and clean and the staff are friendly. The pet friendly rooms are a bit small but manageable.
Looking forward
So, I haven't actually stayed there yet, as the event that was planned has been rescheduled for 2021. But I have to say that if the rest of the staff is half as helpful, professional, patient and friendly as Kelsey Cole, who quickly and efficientlyt handled my cancellation and rebooking request, then I fully expect that my review next year will also be 5 star. She is a credit to her employer.
