A good choice once again

I have stayed here several times. I am never disappointed. The room was clean. Maid service is not given daily at this point due to covid unless you ask for it. That did not really detract anything for our stay. One thing I did find really annoying (and it is a Hilton issue rather than this hotel in particular is that I had to modify my reservation ,.I went through Hilton central booking and they charged me more to stay three nights, than I was going to have to pay for 4 nights before modifying my reservation. Shame on Hilton for this lapse in Customer service to a Silver Honors member for many years
Wonderful Staff - Great Location

My husband and I decided last-minute to stay in Hershey for quick anniversary trip. The area was completely booked except for this Hampton Inn, and with its very reasonable rate and convenient location (so close to all the good stuff - Troëgs, the Outlets, downtown, Hershey Park) we gave it a try.
Check-in was a breeze with Kendra who was warm and welcoming, and extremely professional amidst a whirlwind of families checking in (sports tournament in the area the same weekend). She took the time to make casual conversation with me despite being busy, which made me feel welcomed. She learned it was our anniversary, wished us a happy one, and clearly explained where our room was located and where to best park and re-enter. (I really appreciate when employees take the extra bit of time to provide good directions - especially in a new place!)
The room was spacious and clean, just as the lobby and common area were. After returning from dinner, my husband noticed a bag with a card and small faux floral arrangement outside our door. Kendra wrote us the sweetest card wishing us a happy anniversary and thanking us for staying here, and put together the cutest and most thoughtful gift bag of Hershey’s goodies!
No lie, I was already going to write a positive review for her and this hotel - but this was the cherry on top! Thank you, Kendra, for your kindness and professionalism! We are impressed and appreciative.
Clean Hotel with easy access to Hershey Park

Clean hotel! Very close to Hershey park.
Free parking. Hotel staff was extremely accommodating.Everyone was extremely courteous and went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great stay. This hotel will definitely be my go to when I visit Hershey!
Nice place, but beware of bait and switch

I called about to make a reservation to this hotel about 2 months prior to our stay. I called the hotel directly and was routed to the companies reservation line. I made a reservation for 2 nights and was quoted a price of about $188/night. I was to be emailed a receipt. I called 3x to request a receipt be emailed and have yet to receive it (nope...not in my spam folder).So, we checked in on 8/9 and the front desk person was a little abrasive, but ok maybe she was having a bad day. She indicated that initially, the charge on my card may be a"little higher " than the agreed price until it cleared that we used no "incidentals". Well, we subsequently used no "incidentals"(as not being "hip to the lingo" we googled it !!!). So, we checked out and were told we would be emailed an invoice. (Nope,never received that one either... also not in spam folder!) Imagine my surprise (and my husband's blood pressure) when we received a credit card bill for almost $ 700. We were billed $256 for the first night and $401 for the second night ! I called and spoke with the front desk staff . They looked up the bill and credited my account $163 for the second night. While I appreciated that, I pointed out that even with tax $256/night was not the agreed to price, I was told that rooms in this hotel were going for well over $400/night( which ticked me off). I pointed out the fact that this was not the price that I agreed to and suggested that this was a bait and switch tactic. I requested that the GM call me... still waiting for that call. I also called back and asked for the GM's contact info and was provided his email address. Sent him a polite, non-threatening email... yep... still waiting for a response. So, I am out ~ $100-$120. I will NEVER stay at another Hilton property again after this experience. However, I will say that other than the front desk attendant on the afternoon of our arrival, the staff at this hotel were polite, friendly, and eager to please. I wish that their management had the same regard for their customers as the rank and file employees do !!!!
Disappointed with stay

We usually stay at this Hampton Inn when we are in Hershey. I may not anymore after this stay.
The housekeeping staff don’t clean. We requested cleaning every day and all they did was make the bed and give us new towels. I could have done that myself. They didn’t vacuum, clean the tub, toilet, sink or bathroom floor for the five days we requested the room serviced.
After two nights there, I realized there was a dried blood stain on my pillow. I had brought my own pillow to use. That is why I didn’t notice sooner. I immediately called the front desk and was given a new pillow.
This morning I found a new friend in our room. We will call him Jiminy Cricket. It appeared to be alive and hiding in the corner.
I told the front desk the issues and they said sorry about that.
Not thrilled at all with our stay.
