This was our second stay and we can't imagine being in South Lake Tahoe and staying here. Our two bedroom was spacious enough that the five of us never felt under foot. The kitchen is well appointed with everything from stainless steel pots, pans, utensils, crockpot, toaster, coffee maker, etc ... more than enough for a weeks stay. Bedding clean and comfy. Bathrooms clean with more than enough amenities. The property amenities with its pool and two hot tubs, spa with steam room and sauna are all perfect for the winter guests. The location is prime with all the shops, great restaurants and activities just outside the any of the three main exits. The property itself is beautiful and well kept. Valet only parking is great, we never had to wait for our car. There was one hiccup. Upon check in, were were doubled charged. I brought to the attention of the front desk assistant manager and he was able to correct it. So the day after check out I realize I has not received my receipt via email and called the front desk to request a copy. The gal (which I won't name) that answered the phone was not only rude, but seemingly proud of it. When I said to her that she would not be rude like this had I been standing in front of her, she replied, "I probably would"! She tried to school me on how ownership there works and yet could not locate my records. She told me that I probably didn't receive an email because I "rented from an owner". I corrected her and said I booked the room on the Marriott.com website and she quickly blurted back that "it's still the owners room, because owners can post the rental on the Marriott website". Even I know that's not how it works! Wow ... she certainly is not someone who should be the face of the company. But not all is lost, I then asked for the front desk manager who was very kind and helpful, was able to locate my records and said she would email me a copy (of which I have not yet received, LOL). Despite the rude attitude of the front desk clerk on the phone. It was a great visit, easy stay, amazing location and honestly everyone we encountered including maintenance, housekeeping and the front desk were kind and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel.

A bittersweet stay

Had a very pleasant stay on 3/5 to 3/6 but am quite frustrated about not receiving my incidentals deposit back which is why im giving it one star. (The room was in clean condition when I left) Was told I would get it back within 7-10 days..so be aware

Rude concierge Eric

Rude Concierge Eric! Stopped by the concierge based on recommendation while checking in. Had to wait 15 minutes while He signed up the poor young in front of us for a presentation and rattled on and on. When they left he didn’t have time for us because he wanted to enter their information in and so much as said so. Then he demanded to know how many days we were staying. Basically gave us this paper but didn’t provide any other info on dining out and things to do.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff and the gondola is right out the front doors! Easy to ride on up to the slope, and be back down literally in front of your hotel. Very convenient, and it is right in the middle of the town. Lots of shopping and restaurants all around it. Highly recommend!

This property has always been amazing. I traveled here with my kids when they were younger ( they are 20 and 21 now) and they loved it. The property has maintained their level of excellence for many many years. From the pleasant hotel staff to the freshly baked cookies that are available upon arrival. The activities the staff provides are fun and can be enjoyed by all. The suites are always immaculately clean and include everything you need to enjoy your stay. The only issue I had with my recent visit is that the steam room was not working which we had planned to use. However, I am looking forward to enjoying the amenity during my next visit.
