Económico, no esperes mucho.
El hotel creo que es de los más económicos por lo tanto no esperaba mucho, pero lo primero que no me pareció fue que no había wifi, creo que hoy en día cualquier persona es lo mínimo que espera al llegar a un hotel. El cuarto estaba bien equipado con un frigobar, tv y microondas. El baño es muy amplio, pero las toallas son delgadas y muy usadas además que en la pared había un hoyo que dejaba ver algunas tuberías. El desayuno muy triste, tal vez tienes que estar ahí a las 7 am para alcanzar algo de comida. Buena ubicación.
Great value
We booked 2 king rooms with Bay View. We were on 2nd floor. Did have a good view of bay. Room had table, chair, small fridge, microwave, bedside table and king bed. The tub/shower had hand rails. Bed was comfy. Bedside table had 2 places to charge phones, etc. Watched the pelicans fishing right from window. No balconies but good view out of windiw. Unfortunately window were not made to open. Room was very clean. Check in was easy and staff friendly. Ice machine was broken down which was unfortunate This was great value and good location. Several bar restaurants and easy stroll from Inn.
Do Not Ever Have A Change Of Plans
My Bridge booked here through a "different" travel site and for "whatever reasons", we never could get the "traveler" changes, so we "canceled" the booking through the "Ex****a company. That company has a no charge for cancellations. So I booked through the Trav******y company (they say (no charges for cancelations too) and when we had a death in the family I went to "change" the reservation, but "changes" are not allowed at this property through third parties, so Had to "cancel". Long story-short: 3 bookings, three cancellations each charged $56+ 2 with the "EX..." company, and one with the "TV..." company. Rooms are Spartan, clean, and far from South Padre Island Blvd, reasonably quiet. Won't stay here again.
Best Bang For Your Buck!
We waited till a few weeks out to book a room and were growing concerned that we would not be able to stay on the island because of the cost of rooms. Let's face it some of us can't afford to drop hundreds and hundreds on a room for vacation. I managed to find a room here at the Lighthouse Inn with 2 king beds that could sleep up to six. My family of 5 fit comfortably and slept great. Yes this is not some 5 star resort but for a 2 to 3 star place you get the best bang for you buck here. We stayed a total of 3 nights and paid around $380 Total including taxes and fees. That was a steal! The room was a good size, everything was clean, front desk was friendly and helpful. We were able to go up to front desk and request more towels without issue. There is a small pool on property that was well kept. The bay is short walk away with good fishing. The food, entertainment and beach are within walking distance or a short drive. Everything from price to location is great about this place.
Good place for a decent price
This was a decent place to stay for one night. The room we got was clean and had all the necessities. Towels were very thin, though. Also some of the neighbours were a bit loud, but we managed to get some sleep.
