Imposing Puerto Banús yachting harbour is 10 km from the hotel, Málaga 15 km and Estepona 20 km. Facilities The hotel features 95 accommodation units. The upper floors can be reached by lift. amazing surroundings but a little worn up place
The location of the hotel is amazing - the beautiful village of Benahavis surrounded by the mountains. Plenty of space for walking, hiking, you can also play golf, pad tennis or take a cycling. The hotel used to be grand. It is still nice but worn up and would do with refurbishment and repainting. The rooms are really big but need new furnishes and bathrooms - serious renovations. Additionally TV entertainments should have at least few English/German/French language channels for non Spanish guests. The breakfast was decent with vast choice of cold meats/ cheese/ eggs and cereals. We paid £56 per night for a double room with complimentary Spa every day but there were no available slots during our stay. Overall, a very nice hotel if you are not seeking a luxury.
Large room and beautiful pool!
My husband and I stayed here as part of a tour package and while the location was a bit tricky to find, we really enjoyed our 3 nights here. Our room was large, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean and updated. We also found the staff to be friendly and very helpful. The grounds and pool area are beautiful. Tip: skip the in-house restaurant for dinner and go for a short walk up (literally) into town and try one of the local restaurants. They are excellent!
Great Location
Called in whilst visiting Benahavís- hotel had quite a few guests & although we weren’t residents- we had a drink in the courtyard overlooking the swimming pool - very reasonably priced drinks - good service & a great location
4* WOW
My wife and visited Benahavis on 11th December and whilst foundthe town charming was a bit disappointed due to 50% of the town shops closed down from December - February. However this disappointment was soon forgotten when we checked in to the Gran Hotel Benahavis. What a great place to stay with fantastic facilities ( Spa, Spa treatments, Pools, driving range.) Whilst the menu was limited it was extremely good value. €20 for a set menu (3 choices of each course) or a more extensive menu (attached). We paid €75 for 2 half board , when you consider that included the €20 evening meal, €12 breakfast for 2 PLUS a very nice spacious bedroom overlooking the central courtyard we were very happy and will definitely revisit. Recommended.
Short break
Visited this hotel as recommended by friends when visiting the area to attend their wedding. On arrival there was a good amount of on street parking as well as a small car park. Check in process was very smooth. We were given a poolside room. The room was very spacious a bit dated with furnishings but clean with a double bed, desk, coffee table and chairs and plenty of storage space for clothes if you are visiting for 1-2 weeks or even longer. I was only staying for three nights. Each morning our room was cleaned, beds made and fresh towels and toiletries left. Breakfast was a self serve Buffett in the main restaurant with plenty of tables and included tables outside. The food I have to say was tasty and there were plenty of options. The hotel had two large pools with plenty of sun loungers and a small pool bar which served drinks and snacks throughout the day. I did like this hotel and in general the chilled out area of Benahavís and already planning my next trip to Gran Hotel.
