Classy and Authentic
John stayed up to welcome us, after we were delayed until after midnight - much appreciated. He and Esther are delightful hosts who make you feel welcome and special. The bed was comfortable, the breakfasts highly original and scrumptious, and John was always available to answer questions and offer advice. Our second visit and it won't be the last. The only criticism I have is beyond his control: noise from garbage trucks and supermarket deliveries close by at 6.00 a.m.
Our stay at the Inn on Frederick
Our stay at Inn on Frederick has been the outmost greatest choice to have taken. This rustic vintage B&B has so much history and characters and simply charming. Beautiful crafted original antique furnished rooms to it’s well kept originals. (Except beds. High quality mattress, very comfortable). The Inn is very, very clean and the breakfast are presented beautifully made by Mrs. Esther (Mihyun). Husband John (Jonggwan) is the host who will make sure you get the most pleasant stay. Proud owners Mr. John kim(Jonggwan Kim) and Mrs. Esther(Mihyun Kim) to “Inn on Frederick”
20th Anniversary
Spending our 20th anniversary here was a delight. The hosts John and Esther were great. Very friendly and available, Esther made delicious breakfast each morning that was plentiful and got us going for the day! Everything about the house is very Victorian, well decorated and clean ! Our room came with a 2 person jacuzzi which was spot on after a whole day of adventuring around Saint Andrews. The King size bed was very comfy and had ample pillows :) Overall a great stay and will definitely keep their number for future visits !
Is this what I’ve been missing?
This was my first ever stay at a B&B. If this was a typical experience then I could kick myself for not trying it sooner. The hosts were so courteous and helpful (helped carry in my luggage, for example) and keep a very clean and well-appointed place. Delicious and personalized (for our vegetarian tastes) breakfast, too. It’s homey, in a neighborhood that made me feel like I was among neighbors. Yet, it was also walkably close to the main street where there were places to eat and shop. We were there late September so the season had wound down and some things were closed, but still a lovely time to visit. The only advice I’d offer is to be sure what level of the inn you’re booked for. Lot of steps to some rooms which could be a problem for those with a disability. All in all, it was our favorite accommodation among the several we stayed at during a two week vacation.
Very Good B&B
Drove from Bangor Airport to begin Canadian Maritimedricung tour. Friendly hosts. Nice room. Centrally locates. Gave good advice on restaurabts. Made a very nice breakfast which was included in the price.
