We have stayed before, many years ago and thought we deserved a treat. We managed to get the very well priced deal of dinner on first night(£50 off) and 2 nights for £179 and we upgraded to a sea view for another £100. The Hotel is Stunning and the staff are all amazing and cant do enough to help, from everyone on reception to the lovely people doing breakfasts. The Dinner in the Resturant was very good, The steak is the best i have ever tasted. Breakfast was execllent with plenty of choice and more then you can ever eat, its all self service and buffet cooked so fill your belly's We didnt use any of the facilites as being disabled it was not possible. The only down side i would have to say was that the room was a bit of a let down. Last time we had a room over looking a courtyard with no view this time it had a sea view. Thats the only difference, the facilites in the more expensive room was actually less then then the cheaper room. The Tv is very small and i would expcet a larger screen. The Beds were zip linked but were comfy, i would expect a fitted sheet as it kept moving all night. I would of been dissapointed at any other time of year if i had to pay anymore.
Self Catering break

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of November in one of the self catering cottages. Lovey cottage with all the equipment you would require, clean and tidy and warm. Did'nt go into the hotel as we were looking after ourselves but have stayed here many times previously with no complaints. We stayed in "Sycamore" cottage and the only small issue is that the cooker "smelt" when being used and there was no information on how to use the oven. Enjoyed the break and we will return again.
Not bad, not great

Recieved a warm welcome from the gate. Reception staff were welcoming and on point. We had a basic room and knew that so not reviewing the room. Dinner- didnt make sense. The olive starter was literally 10 olives in a bowl with bread for £8 the mezze plate for £8.75 was a bowl of olives, hummus some other awful mush and bread(not an itlalian meat in sight). Had better Mezze at local cafe's. All of the brassarie food was mediocre but had lots of cress chucked on it to look good. Couldn't mention it at the time because we were never asked. Not 10 mins in, not when plates were taken and not when paying the bill. I understand at times like this it is a limited menu and i understand staff shortage but the menu was so basic that it should have at least been decent. Especially at its price. (Luckily we did the weekend deal so £50 towards dinner was included). Breakfast - absolutely great. Self service but i prefer that. Was hot, no cheap sausages (always a teller) and seevice was again on point. I feel it was a tale of 2 halfs. The brasserie let down the rest of the staff team. (Except the nothern lady on the bar, she was amazing) I probably won't visit again to eat but will to stay at the hotel. 1 last massive thankyou to the housekeeping, the lady cleaning the door glass waiting all the time to hold the door for people and waited while i walked all the way down the hall, i noticed. You were fantastic!

Stayed 2 nights with family from USA . Excellent service. Restaurant very good nice food. Breakfast good. Good size bedroom with large bed and shower. The gardens were beautiful and easy to walk to St Ives with beautiful views of St Ives from the gardens. Staff were very good and could not do enough. Will definitely visit again.

Great hotel, lovely location, everything catered for. Thank god for a substantial breakfast buffet (good ones are becoming rare). I do wish that they had bottled water in the rooms. So just 1 minus and so many pluses
